gearshift48 kola2134 Tson Dumb REvenger (Fort_Master_Gustav )
(On a sidenote: Please do in future state in some way if you´re firing, that may sound stupid, but it makes things easier for me.)
The initial plan of the Crimson Legion (@gearshift48) seemed to be successful, after a few moments the white lines of the pulse emitters stopped, however whilst they were peppering Avathurns shields with their cannons, the stretched out formation was bombarded with a hail of projectiles from the plasmacannons. whilst a volley of FTL-AM-mines launched from Avathurns hull, heading in a wide arc towards the Tesla-Rage, likely reaching it in the next time-unit.
The Crimson Imperium (@kola2134) in the meanwhile continued to rain fire on the common foe, the shield slightly rippling as the spinal weapon from the battleship hit it, however aside from that seemingly remaining unscathed, with more preparation this time were capable of repelling all of the ftl-mines this time, however at the expense of some of their fighters. In the meanwhile, yet another volley of mines headed their way, these certainly weren´t short in supply...
The STC (@Tson) executed their manouver successfully and with the combined fire of Xaneroth and the STC's own ships was a capable of taking down all inbound mines. Most of the fleet, aside from the two damaged ships were now in the observation zone, Avathurn had stopped firing at them, however in turn, firing at him from this position would be useless.
Their supporter on the other hand, the Crimson Republic (@Dumb) was not quite as lucky, with the dreadnought being apparently out of comission for the moment and Xaneroth charging up whilst assissting the STC, the next energy trail began building up, once more aimed at Xaneroth, it was the Gestalt-Decay-lance again. Although their actions did result in taking down most of the projectiles heading towards the STC fleet and moving the damaged ships out of the firing line.
The UPNSF (@REvenger) was able to excute their manouver successfully, the anti ship cannons firing at Avavthurn whilst the fleet was moving, shortly after, the reinforcements arriving in the observation zone. Whilst Avathurn, seemed to disregard the UPNSF fleet mostly, a volley of AM-FTL-mines rose from it´s hull and headed towards the attacking anti-ship cannons.
Lastly the Keeper fleet seemed to be in the focus of Avathurns attention, whilst having to deal with the brunt of it´s firepower, they did in turn at least draw most the fire from the other fleets which were currently not attacking.
Whilst the destroyers and light cruisers now became target of the subarmor-AM-turrets, the focus of the kinetic pulse cannons shifted to the smaller ships, corvettes and frigates, the focus of Avathurn attention took it´s toll, one frigate reciving a heavy strike, a section of the armor caving in under the pressure of the cannons, whilst the ship seemd to be still somewhat battle capable, it started retreating to the mid-range engagement zone, together with four corvettes which had recieved equally heavy damage in the focus of the kinetic cannons, however not before firing another volley of the fusion blasters at Avathurn...
In the mid-range engagement zone several ships were targeted by the gestalt-pulse emitters and subspace-plasma cannons, streaks of blindingly white light erupting towards several of the ships whilst plasmabolts rained down on them, in the process one of the light support cruisers received heavy damages whilst taking fire for a group of destroyers, leaving scorchmarks and a hole in the armor after what looked like an internal explosion that would´ve been the end to many other ships, the support cruiser seemed to be still operational though, turning and then heading to the long-range engagement zone under the cover of several small support craft.
Shortly after, a beam of intense eerie green light stretched towards the long-range engagement zone, specifically, the 'Celestion', the Gestalt-Decay Lance had fired and hit, the shield of the KD Titan slightly denting inwards under the energy of the attack, however, withstanding it, at least this time. bolts of golden light were fired from the artillery fusion turrets of the massive ships in the distance, whilst the entire fleet followed suit, the shields of Avathurn flickering as the spinal darkmatter-emitters of the heavy cruisers charged and fired, the spinal beams of the battleships on the other hand disappearing in flares of green light, in response a volley of the AM-FTL-mines was sent from Avathurn towards the KD´s ships in the long-range engagement zone...
A transmission came from the Celestion, carrying promising information...
/Transmission Start/
"Fleet is taking damages but holding its ground, continue to support fire, damaged ships wil be retreating to the observation zone, be mindful of their flightpaths, good work on the CR´s side for intercepting the mines targeting the STC.
Additionally, the prolonged fire starts to show effects, Avathurns shields have reached half their capacity and we are good on our shedule!"
