The fighters don't seem to be so resistant to the flak. While the phononic beams proved to be quite effective at piercing the enemy fighters in dogfighting and making them explosively decompress, the proximity to the general formation meant that the flak hit the quite fragile hull, and thus, they exploded. Seeing the torpedos being launched, the fleet activated the point-defense systems, numerous gatling guns fiering 20mm projectiles at the torpedos, added with high-potency lasers making them deviate from the path or explode preemptively. Reserving the life of the large ships mainly, the fighters willingly throw themselves at the torpedos fiering their guns.
Cannon fire meets the formation of ships, some rounds get embedded in the armor and nothing happens, some scrape by the hull or detonate nearby, causing small ammounts of damage, some others explode inside and propel large chunks of metal outwards, some others hit vital spots, either causing large explosions that send the turrets flying likely due to ammo detonating, or causing even larger blue detonations due to some kind of reactor detonation. The lasers go largely through the same ordeal, there seems to be a pretty good ablative surface underneath the armor, abosrbing a lot of the energy from the lasers, but they still cause a lot of damage whenever they hit. The same goes for the large ships, though these seem to be much harder to pennetrate, due to their highly angled and highly armored shape, however, some lucky hits have made some superficial damages disabling a few turrets and PD systems. One torpedo hit one angled, and tore off half of the ship, exposing a kind of fleshy interior that covered itself in a black oil of sorts. However, despite being only half a ship, it kept functional.
Meanwhile the white ships received some shells, but the shells simply either were blocked by the exterior "hull" or they dissapeared within its large mass. The lasers seemed to be more effective against them.
The cyan ship didn't get damaged, as the lasers seemed to defract on the cyan shielding, and the shells deformed the shielding until they were stopped and pushed outwards, slightly dented.
The Missiles seemed to be the same employed back then, as they detonated nevertheless, some beings were propelled away from teh flak, but the abominations that could land on the hull of the ships soon started pulling the turreted weapons off from their hinges, and opening holes in the hull with their extreme strength, some proceeded to board the ships.
The ships once again fired their shells, now the other half of the cannons, this time slightly less due to the volley of the enemy. The large Ventral cannons of 10 of the large ships, rightfully called "Orbital Bombardment Cannons" unleash their shells. Sizeable black masses fly out propelled slower than the normal shell, and close to the fleet they split apart into 10 pellets, each being their own nuclear device meant to bombard the surface of the planets, but also commonly used in the killing of stationary fleets.
The white ships seemed approximate into the middle of the fleet in general, as some of the damaged ships headed towards it, and started to merge with it.
The cyan ship was glowing more and more as the time passed.
The ships that went close to FTL speeds, though not FTL were suffering some small damages due to the great speeds, their shielding was enough to withstand it indefinetly however, but it was like an indicator that they were about to pass treshhold one wouldn't want to.
