The few gliding objects smaller than reasonable ship appeared more clearly. They were still hardly visible, though much brighter than the ships nearby, and a bit more humanoid. They were closing in on the front ships.....
Two of jet squadron Tailside were rather disappointed that one of the Hunter cruisers had been entirely locked down, but knew that was where someone was, specifically from how it was locked. (significant spy probably of akyrate? Idk i took a good few days interpreting this)
Slicing through would be rather risky. It gives them time to be blasted away by any small quarters defence, and could kill that someone if in the wrong area. Nevertheless, one had already started doing so, in good range of two turrets.
The five nightwings eventually noticed the new ships, and had gone to a full stop. The fightercraft around them were also identified as a ship that spinned around too much. Shaped in a U, with three main engines on back, the WO-29 (probably a stolen design from a non-akyrate faction) had decent weaponry and shielding for its size. Five in number were close by, preparing to engage. One second, the ship was vertically aligned in parallel to the redford fleet.
There were also fightercrafts with two cannons, and much superior maneuverability, but were slower, and had only two cannons. Those would not be in range.
They're coming through with such force. We haven't clearly lost, but a good amount of the force we had is occupied elsewhere.
(Unbeknownst to them, a few ships had been under radar, with significant numbers. Those will turn up, eventually.)
Beyond the Nightwings were a few cannon ships, Flamemakers in name, and assault carriers, which were as simply; Heightrunners. The Flamemakers with their railgun larger than that of a Nightwing, weren't in range, but could fire if anyone dared ram the battle line.
