A VSA patrol carrier passes relatively nearby. Unlike most however, this one comes with the compliment of not 1 but 2 Qunits. They currently reside in their spacious quarters due to a pure lack of anything else to do.
Y3B: "Bored." Sprawled out lying down on a couch
Y3: "Shut up." Sitting down and working away at a tablet
Y3B: "Booored."
Y3: sternly "Shut up."
Y3B: "BOOOOORED!"
Y3: "In the name of Hadalen I HEARD YOU! But I fail to see how that's my problem.."
Y3B: "This place is boring, there's nothing to do here!"
Y3: "There is, you just have to look."
Y3B: "Oh really? What are you doing that's sooo interesting then?
Y3: "I'm catching up on recent events, there's actually a-"
Y3B: "Booooriiiiiiing."
Y3: "...Why did you bother asking if you were clearly going to respond that way regardless of my response?"
Y3B: playfully "To annoy you~"
Y3 sighs and resumes his reading.
Y3B: "...Oooooohhhhhh what's that?"
Y3 glances up to see what's grabbed her attention, she's gotten up and is looking excitedly at... nothing, the room lacks windows.
Y3: "Are you... sigh you know we're not meant to access our Taroka's scanners outside of duty..."
Y3B: "I was bored-"
Y3: "So you made clear."
Y3B: "-so I took a quick look around."
Y3: "...Alright, I give in, what did you find?"
Y3B: "Take a look for yourself if you're so curious~"
Y3 sighs and concedes, remotely cross checking her scan data with his own. She's gotten rather excited about several spacetime anomalies headed towards an unassuming planet.
Y3: "..It's just some primitive FTL drives, probably a fleet heading out for an equally boring patrol missio-"
Y3B: "Ha! You admit it's boring!"
Y3: "..What is with you..."
Y3B: "We should check it out!"
Y3: "We should not."
Y3B: " Come ooon, it'll be fun!"
Y3: "We're under strict orders to stay here, especially after that fiasco you pulled in the canteen..."
No response.
Y3: "...Bee?"
He looks up to find her missing.
Y3: "..Oh daughter of a... Not again!"
A quick scan confirms his fears, F12Y3B has broken out of the hangar in her Taroka, and she'll likely get away amidst the chaos. A mere second later she switches out of local space and into the system in question.
Y3B: "They should be here soon enough..."
The short-lived F12 series was experimental in that they were grown in artificial wombs so as to observe and control any factors that would hinder their development present before birth. This massively backfired, and resulted in widely unpredictable effects, mostly negative. One such phenomena was F12Y3 and F12Y3B, accidental twins. Y3 was the only truly successful F12 unit, even being able to go toe to toe with the newer F13 units. Y3B however got a completely unpredictable psyche, some calling her downright insane. Any attempts to remedy this only worsened her "condition".
