although it lacks speed and agility, it makes up for all its armor, with 3 shield generators at the front, 2 on each side and 2 on the back with corner armor. it also makes up for its ability to take on 3 ships at once if one is at the front and 2 are on each side, and its shear power in general when in a group

its very hard to get through the front, as its protected by a total of 8 shield generators! and its got heavy weaponry with EMP missles to cripple what stands to fight it, meanwhile its rail guns and ion beams tear through them, and missles to distract any flak

it doesnt have much weaponry but it makes up for it with its speed and agility, and its a bit tough to get through the back, so if it cant get away then its still able to attack while on the run.

    Hmmmmmm there have been some very interesting ship submissions lately

      Name: Vortex - MrMeep

      Price range: nicely in 2nd (yey)
      Inspired by a seashell's vortex shape, the Vortex defeats its enemies with its powerful laser, while defended by a shielded outer shell.

      While this ship isn't too strong, I think it is an excellent way for new players to learn about some building techniques. It appears earlier in BH than other massive laser-prism arrays, and shows newer players that they can use the prisms to combine the power of the lasers. Paint job is hard to do, as the ship is fairly compact and doesn't leave room for many decals, but, hey, I tried my best.

        H-Dog33, use the attach button, it's located to the right of the 'Post Reply' button and looks like a square with rounded corners. It should say 'attach' when you mouse over. Then, attach the .ship.png file. If you have no idea what a .ship.png file is, consult this finely crafted link

            Just an idea I came up with. I chose the name because it was the first thing that came to mind when I thought of designing a ship with half of it "sheered" forward. I also thought of faults as in earthquakes which is where the decal mostly comes from.

            One of my submissions had to be updated (the Flying Dutchman) because I'd mistakenly used a mod part that I'd thought was added to vanilla along with the larger reactors.                   H-Dog33 might want to remove the medium reactor in the back, could easily be destroyed by missiles and could cause chain reaction to destroy ship. just a suggestion

                                kieffer5101 thanks but i have little spare time now, but in my free time im making some desing that i will upload some day. I haven't forgot my mod. I just cant find time to update it, and, as i said before, i will wait for the 1.0 version to make the mod.

                                  CasterNInja btw, will you guys be streaming/posting the video of the contest anywhere if there are battles involved? or is this just a "by eye" contest?
