After entering the atmosphere, the landing capsules were immediately attacked by Lei'Tava fighter units. Capsules fell at a tremendous speed, because of which there was very little time for their destruction, and the Blessed Nation did not have stationary systems of planetary protection. In addition, capsules were an unpleasant surprise for Irri pilots - one of the fighters that came too close to them was shot down, and several more vehicles from the FDF aerospace fleet were significantly damaged and therefore forced to leave the battle. Nevertheless, the dense crossfire from the plasma guns done it's part, and several landing capsules did not reach the floating platform.
Capsules fell into a narrow street, breaking through a layer of decorative stone tiles and partially destroying several large private houses with numerous observation towers, balconies and wide windows. After some time, a damaged Irri fighter fell somewhere nearby, illuminating the surrounding area with a bright flash of an explosion. Dust clouds quickly dispersed, giving way to the smoke of an incipient fire.
Civilians rapidly left this area of the city, but nevertheless, in the sky, then in the alleys and windows of houses, frightened winged silhouettes flickered.

Iv'ieu took a few hesitant steps, and then leaned his shoulder against the left wall and went on like this. The consciousness that returned to him for a while gradually faded away again. Trying not to make unnecessary sounds and keep the space in front of him in the gun’s sight, the paladin contacted the bridge and tried to briefly describe what had happened, as well as to make some assumptions about the Alien’s capabilities.

The commander of the Empress's Eye cast an angry glance at the projection of the GBE ship depicted on his monitor.
-Open fire. These creatures should not receive reinforcements.
Eight ships simultaneously sent shells from the quad mass accelerators towards the diplomatic vessel.

The empress let out a distressed sigh. The young spruce, as if sensing the approach of its death, exuded a surprisingly strong and burning resinous aroma. It's delicate stalk was hopelessly damaged, almost broken in two.
Vai Uirv got to her feet and shook her head. Of course, there were still ways to save the young tree, but the presence of an imperfect cripple plant in the meditation garden would destroy the beautiful symphony of harmony. Balance would be broken, and after it the immaculate calmness of the Empress would leave.
A graceful bird smoothed feathers on her wings and turned to return to her beloved waterfall pond. The spruce will be replaced a little bit later - in any case, the Empress’s meditation was already unceremoniously broken.
Vai Uirv's gaze ran through the playful streams of water, which now somehow lost all their magical charm. Something was wrong. The fish hid in their caves, and the raft with incense gradually began to sail to the shore.
The Empress froze. The fists on her hands clenched, and sharp claws dug into his palms almost to the blood.
At one of the turns, the artificial fence of the stream, built tenderly, carefully and wisely, was broken. When leaving, the grandmaster in his bulky ceremonial armor stepped right into the canal, and now the recalcitrant stream of water has diverged in two, breaking out of a perfectly laid track for it. Stubbornly crawled across the earth, paving his own path through ideally located plantings of small white flowers.

The landing party was quite successful - Irri had not yet managed to acquire a normal orbital defense system. However, the battle on a floating platform was just beginning.
It’s hard to say when the first shot was fired. Rifles of the Blessed Nation sent thin long needles at great speed, covering vast distances in a matter of seconds, without creating noise or flashes. It seemed that the fire was opened simultaneously, immediately from all sides. The low rate of fire of a single-shot Irri weapon would be a huge problem in a face-to-face battle, but now there was nothing about face-to-face.
FDF flying sharpshooters appeared from behind the towers and roofs for a couple of moments, and then immediately disappeared again to reload weapons and change their location. Whirling somewhere high in the sky, barely noticeable from behind shelters, occasionally flickering in window and doorways, they constantly moved and never lingered for long in the enemy's field of vision. Their weapons did not unmask their positions, their excellent vision allowed them to aim in seconds, and their wings and gravitational stabilizers made it possible to quickly move in any directions. Without special equipment, marines, led by a horned lady, are unlikely to even understand the exact number of Irri troops.

The story of Iv'ieu at any other time would have caused a great mistrust of the captain of the ship. The situation only worsened by the fact that the senior paladin a dozen minutes ago said that if doubts arise about its adequacy, the captain gets the right to ignore any orders of Iv'ieu.
But the in the near future the captain was not going to use this right. The door, which was reinforced by an additional partition, was somehow damaged, and the telemetry data of the squad of researchers said that almost all of them received various injuries and lost consciousness.
The captain confirmed the receipt of the message and ordered to block all approaches to the bridge. Two groups of nine FDF soldiers each were sent to Iv'ieu's current location.
(Apologies for long pause. I hope I will never make you wait for so long)
