Walt Were you using wine? What doesn't work about the new version?
Yep. For the installation I used this old link, so I had to first install dotnet framework 4.7 then install the game using the exe file.
What simply changes is that I can no longer install the game using the same way. When I let the game download and install 0.15.4, it simply shows an error dialog with This program does not support the version of windows your computer is running
and stops. It keeps the game in 0.15.3 as if nothing happened.
If I try to install 0.15.4 from scratch using the same script, it just doesn't install with the same error.
I've taken a short look only at .NET core, and I've seen that it is supposed to allow builds for windows, linux and macos. But so far I haven't found a single link explaining how I could have it in a wine installation (as I mentionned, I may have not looked for it hardly enough).
So for now I'll stay in 0.15.3, google a solution stronger, and either find one (I'll probably post in the forums then) or wait for a possible linux version 🙂
Walt Unfortunately not likely to happen soon. The hard part is porting all the graphics, audio, window, and input code to a different operating system.
I keep hope!
