The man nodded and looked at the two again...
"Well, CETA, Nitrox, my name is Gregory Arthur, I´ve been here for..."
He paused and seemed to be thinking, his fingers were moving up and down and he looked at them as if his fleshy appendages could help him remember...
"Umm... Well, I forgot it seems, been a while at the very least."
It seems this fleshling had some circuits loose, he couldn´t have been here THAT long, ...or could he?
...he waited and a brief moment of somewhat awkward silence ensued...
"So... found anything yet?"

The man nodded and looked at them again...
"Well, CETA, Nitrox, my name is Gregory Arthur, I´ve been here for..."
He paused and seemed to be thinking, he looked at his hands and moved his fingers as if he´d try to count... what, days? ...weeks? ...months? In any case it seemed to be quite a bit.
"Umm... Well, I forgot it seems, been a while at the very least."
...forgot? How long has he been stuck here?
He waited and for a moment awkward silence filled the room.
"So... found anything yet?"

As he walked into the corridor he suddenly felt oddly numb.
He looked into the corridor and began moving, it did have to end somewhere, it did so the last time.
...
Dhas looked up, he felt as if he had been sleeping or in meditation, how long had he been walking?
There was a door infront of him, which meant he had at least reached his target, the corridor behind him seemed endless...
He grabbed to doorhandle and stepped through the door.
...
Light blinded him, considerably brighter than that in the corridor, he felt new energy, so it was likely sunlight, of some sort. When his sight adapted...
This... wasn´t right.
He looked upon a expansive landscape, grassy plains, forests, in the distance he saw some mountains, above him a shining light...
So far everything seemed to be normal, the issue was, the landscape was all around him. Literally.
In the distance the land began going upwards until eventually the landcape towered like a wall and went over the... ceiling? He was standing on a planet, but the planet was inverted, the landscape was on the inside of a hollow orb, with a light in the middle...
What in the Xel'nagas name...?
How was this even possible?
A clicking noise interrupted his thoughts, it was that of the door he had come through, by the time he turned around he heard a thump...
Which was the sound the door had made when it fell over, it had apparently just been standing there in the middle of the landscape, now it was lying on the ground, amidst a plain of blue grass...
The only interruptions in the plain were some rocks, large earthmounds which were about as tall as him, something that seemed to be a large river in one direction, a series of hills, with what seemed to be a structure infront and a forest in the last direction...
Each of them, the forest, the hills and the river were about a kilometre away...
Where did this accursed labyrinth send him this time...?

After he had run his tests, he eventually came to teh conclusion the water was safe, albeit rather salty.
He stepped into the water and slowly went furtehr in about 40 metres out he was able to start swimming, and so he went underwater, he saw sealife, tiny alien looking critters similar to those that would be seen when one went to a museum, this world was apparently quite early into its development of life...
As he swam further out at around 60 metres out the ground suddenly dropped off into a black abyss, judging by that the island was likely atop some sort of mountain, or perhaps inactive volcano, larger fishlike creatures were swimming here some of them with a respectable amount of teeth, however, none of them seemed to consider him prey...
Aside of that, he didn´t find much, the question now was... should he go further out? ... or deeper?
Or would it be better to return?

It took him a while to get to the palace, but eventually he reached it, on the way there he started to meet more frequently better clothed people, logically because he was getting closer to the palace...
He was standing on another square with a fountain in the middle, people were sitting on benches, some looking at the fountain or the palace, others just talking to each other, the palace lied ahead of him, a at least 10 metres high ffence surrounded the outer area of the palace, and the palace itself was maybe around a hundred metres high, behind it sat the massive clocktower, from this close up it was like a wall, blocking the sky in that direction...
There were plenty of people at the entrances which were controlled by guards in a formal looking uniform, apparently he have to get in line if he wanted to be let in...
As he was about to head to the entry, he saw something, just in the corner of his eye, almost missed it...
He turned around on one of the buildingssurrounding the square was a door, with a rather odd placement, it was on a wall without much features until the second floor were the windows started...
The door itself was black, and a singular red eye was depicted on it´s smooth surface, too smooth for any material used in this entire town, it seemed to devour the surrounding light, apart of that of the eye which was glowing on the door...
The door emanated an ominous feeling, one of blank terror and dread, even by only looking at it his mind started subconsciously twitching, itching to get away from the door...
He looked around, nobody else seemed to notice this door, which likely meant it was part of the Labyrinth...
...but was it really a good idea going through there? Maybe it would be better to just head to the palace...

As he dragged himself through the door his stomach felt a bit weird for while as the gravity seemd to have changed according to the corridor...
Once he was accustomized, he stood up and turned right to open the...
...there was no doors on the walls here, it was more akin to the corridor he had went through when he left the bar, not when he entered the labyrinth...
He stared into the endless corridor and began walking, almost subconsciously...
...
He looked at the door infront of him...when did he reach this place again, how long did he walk?
No matter.
He took the doorhandle and pressed it down, heading through the door...
...
On the other side, he looekd around, he shook his head... and looked again.
This was no halucination, there were actual people here.
They were walking through a street which was quite broad, encompassed by tall buildings on eitehr side
People didn´t seem to notice him too much, apparently he wasn´t standing out that much, most of them were wearing victorian clothes or those of simple workers, how convenient.
The buildings which bordered the street looked victorian, just like most of the passerbies, when he looked up,he saw some pillars of smoke, however mor eimportantly there was a massive clocktower which reached to the clouds from what it looked like it was quite the distance away, so it must be absolutely massive from close up...
He looked around for a few moments, he seemed to be able to read all of the signs on the shops, which was... weird, that meant they must be written in galactic standard, this town didn´t exactly scream 'galactic standard' though...
Wherever this place was, at least he didn´t end up in some cave again...
In fact, it felt...right, to be here, as if something important would happen here...
Was this one of these 'major areas' the book talked about?
But, now that he was here...what should he do next?
