Whilst the raid on the civlian ship was going on somewhere in the outer reaches of the GBE territory and parts of the fleet were busy fighting other foes in other places, due to the current war with the TIE...
...a small group of ships appeared in one of the GBE´s system, not aprticularly close ot coreworlds, but also not in in the outer rim of their territory...
It seemed to be a sort of corvette, accompanied by what could be a group of fighters or drones, their hulls were white with dark and golden ornaments...
Their shapes nor their looks seemed to match any broadly known factions, a somewhat worrying fact. There were also energy signatures indicating that at least their shields were online...
...and the fact that they did not carry any obvious ftl-signatures with them didn´t make their presence any better.
The question for who these intruders were however, would be at least solved rather quickly, as soon after their appearance a transmission came from the group, in galactic standard...

As have heard, one of your worlds has been attacked by a group of ships of unknown origin, we have taken a certain interest in this group and would like to gain more information on this attack and them.
