It is... a well known fact, that they tried to invade them beforehand, but for some reason the force sent to invade one of their main lands was not that of a conquering force, but rather of a more medium-sized fleet, a small taste to probe the defenses of the GBE, but not only that, to acquire information as to how they were.
Now, it was time to employ... better strategies, strategies that the so-called "Deltas" would be known for in given time.
In-between the systems of almost every empire, sits a void of darkness that ships only pass through in an FTL motion, millions of kilometers between the tiniest speck of space-rock that will aimlessly wander through the cosmos until the end of time, back into the maw of chaos that it was borne from.
But not this time.
In the middle of an FTL route, between two systems of the GBE, sat some ships, Delta ships of course. The ships that sat numbered in 20 large, 40 medium and 120 fighters. They were outside of the so-called "Gate" of the GBE, between one of its outer systems.
They lay in wait, waiting for the correct time to pull a large civilian craft from the FTL. However, the interdiction they were using didn't seem to be the same as the usual "Delta" interdiction, it seemed to be a normal interdiction technology, of the kind that only stops the ship, rather than atomizing it. That was not to say that they would get a chance at communication, since after the ship was pulled from the FTL, Delta interdiction would immediatly ensue. Other passing ships may get damaged from this action, but that was beyond the point.
