(I mean, it's up to you to decide, really. I won't judge you if you want to have a big fleet, but do consider some things like maintenence cost, et cetera. For your case, since you say that your nation has a history with pirate raids, it makes more sense that they'd have more easily-mobilized ship types, good to deal with small raiding pirate parties, and less large ships due to the lack of big enemies to fight, but it's just my opinion, in the end it's up to you.)

Fort_Master_Gustav (I think my original RP reason to have large super-heavy and norm battleships was for basically defense purposes like if there were Nuclear missiles, they could be used as flak-arrays. So I think my DEFENSE fleet would be comprised of 10 Super-Heavy Battleships ( I wasn't even planning on a lot of these) 50 Battleships, 75 Cruisers, and 25 Heavy Carriers. The Offense Fleet would be comprised of lighter vehicles, mainly 90 Cruisers, 137 Destroyers, 150 (varied in size and class) Patrol Boats, and finally 36 Light carriers.)

Fort_Master_Gustav As all trade routes shut down until further notice, A secret Military route was being used by the new Hunter-Class Cruiser, as this route was , and still is, heavily protected by hundreds and hundreds of miles of mines and electronic Devices (basically Emp Mines) keeping anyone from mapping out this route.

This is (Redcated) speaking, please note that a Pirate squadron may be near, please rush to the Redford System as fast as possible.

The Delta fleet still sat in-between systems, waiting for anyone to jump and be caught within their interdiction. No nation present in G-S16 short of perhaps TIE could lay minefields across two systems, due to the distance that measures in the millions of millions of kilometers, it'd be an undertaking of massive proportions, way bigger than building a Dyson Sphere or a Death Star, and way less lucrative.
They, however, did not sit in the secret path, but the well-announced path between systems, since that was the obvious one. They did, however, lay oblivious to what was happening, and lay in await of another ship, this time, hopefully, not automated.

Fort_Master_Gustav A ship, maybe a MK 3 Chieftain? used it's FTL to warp past the route blockade. Most likely an impatient (poor) Chap that wanted back from their vacation, since it was expensive. The reason why such a poor fellow would have such an expensive ship for is unknown.

They let the person through, not stopping his FTL jump. The reason is unknown, perhaps a single person is way too little for them to bother, perhaps they want to push the Redford Republic into a state of a false security.

Fort_Master_Gustav After noticing the small ship go through, the R,R,N.F.'s version of Homeland Security (Called The 5-System Defense Regiment, or T.5-S.D.R.) Decides to send a Bofors Torpedo Boat, and uses Multi-Layered Frequencies (which is being used to keep track of the ship)to make any kind of signal jammer useless.

The Deltas detect the torpedo boat, but they also detect that it's rigged with communication devices. The unusual flow of FTL signatures added to the fact that they are now sending military vessels through the path they are guarding makes it obvious that they triggered some response with the destruction of the other ship. They have had occasions that the lack of a ship triggered an investigation by others before, namely when doing the same thing to the Ner-Ner Vygon.
They also let the boat through, even though the multi-layered frequency scheeme would fail to get a message thorugh their interdiction method, which prevented communication of even the most advanced type that G-S16 had ever seen, they wanted civilians, workers of the Jking system, the reason was unknown, but they lay in wait for such.

Fort_Master_Gustav A Jking ship (most likely bought from the infamous "Ship Library") Warps through on the other side of the blockade on a jury -rigged FTL, which then breaks off. The man, most likely in early 30s, is furious about the FTL issue.

While this was not optimal, it seemed like there weren't many convoys of a sizeable ammount of people going around, and, honestly, all it really took was a single person well-placed within each planet of any of the nations of G-S16 to take them all down in a single foul sweep.
The man's jerry-rigged FTL contraption was pulled out from its jump, likely in a violent manner, only to be faced by Delta Interdiction, and a whole lot of ships surrounding him. Soon, a simple message is received by the ship:

"Greetings citizen of the REDFORD REPUBLIC.
You are now being abducted, for reasons that you do not need to hear.
However, we are gentle captors, if you do not resist, now a single finger will be laid of harm towards you, and you'll have all the necessities of living until we release you.
However, if you try and escape or resist, you will be met with certain death.
I hope you consider your options wisely, deactivate your ship if you wish to surrender.
