Efficient armored prism laser design

This design creates a constant beam that easily melt and cuts through any ship. Can set all the ion beams on constant fire and cancel rotation of all prisms. Can defeat any other presaved standard ship. Can be replicated as module to construct giant capital laser ships, but with decrease efficiency. Posting a link.

Iceburner This thing really reminds me of a different ship considered strong, but I destroyed the last one using nothing more but a three directional small thruster, one reactor, one CR, a crew bunk and a single laser blaster and I'm certain I could pull off the same move against this one too.
Anyone designing at least slightly competetive could effortlessly take this thing down, the lack of maneuverability and additional weaponry almost hurts.

KrankysFirebrand48 costs about 3.5 million and completely destroys all the sample ships of all sizes, Terror is broken to two parts almost instantaneously. I also built a larger version using 4 modular cores cost 9 million. Which is the only design capable to beat the single core design 1 v 1 and 2 v 1.

CursedPh4nt0m please try and let me know, this ship can be penetrated only by a long bombardment and can turn around quite fast and melt an armored block in a second. The main weapon is so strong that any additional weaponry is redundant. The only weakness is to fast ships with long range missiles. It can be overcome by adding missiles as well in front but it will increase the price and weight. I might add some boosters to be able to close the range if needed. The specialty of this ship is that it follows the rule of prisms and combining only two equal beams each time, which makes the weapon extremely potent.

Iceburner Please, this thing is so large that all one would need to do to beat it is ramming something small in its side and wait for it to come out on the other. Ever heard of swarmers?

CursedPh4nt0m that will be very long wait and all you need to do is to turn around the ship while going forward and shake the swarmers. It is a valid point if you manage to somehow to keep up with the turning of the ship. It is a matter of skill. The idea of my post is the OP weapon design and its protection as it is de facto a glass cannon. You can add some additional weapons, in my older versions I usually add some missile pods on the back side to deal with smaller threats. I discovered this game last week and I found this design the best for all ships in single player. Haven’t tried playing with real people yet.

To maximize the power of a single ion beam, it is optimal to combine exactly two same-sized beams per prism. Combining more than two beams in a single prism, or combining two beams of significantly different sizes in a single prism, will result in considerable power loss."
