LOG COMMENCING

The control ship begins to warm up its engines as the last two racks are deployed. These troopers uncurl themselves, Predator-Class Machine guns in hand, shoulder-mounted rocket launchers and grenade launchers at the ready and heavy armour and shielding active. They move quickly to the attacking area, while the Control ship lifts off, Fusion Coilguns charging up as the energised rounds are slotted into the loading chambers. Ion Pulse Turrets charge up as it reaches a safe distance to provide covering fire.
Blue and red shots light up the forest as the Control Ship strikes at predetermined areas, targeting the rough position of the artillery emplacements. The core of the Control Ship spins as it calculates the positions of the places. Its shields will hold for now and it can jump about to spoil aim, but this is a temporary solution to a growing problem.
MEANWHILE
The recon bots, while tough, are not match for the rockets. One of them falls, and immediately, the rest see him blow up, the armour not able to withstand the explosive force. However, they note something and act on it. Throwing some smoke grenades, they cloud the vision of the enemy, while leaping into the dugouts. They reconfigure their rifles, energy blades springing up as the outer shell repositions to allow them to use the rifle as a sword. Their advanced vision is unimpaired by the smoke and they use their short range weapons to their advantage, striking at heads, chests, groins and legs, mercilessly working through the horde of enemies. A couple of enemies become human shields as they're knocked out with an elbow to the head and hauled to their feet.
At the house, the robots there move to safer areas of the house, finding windows and barricading them so they can fire out of firing ports, but not easily be fired at. They target the closer clumps of troops, using their grenade launchers to hurl grenades at long lengths and high speeds, which explode on impact. They can detect the location of the other robots and adjust to make sure they don't hit them.
CP-012 ducks as the house gets hit, narrowly dodging pieces of flying wood and glass. He stands up again, looking about and scanning the damage. He sees a hole in the wall and leaps over, firing a long burst of rifle fire at the forest. He ducks around and yells,
"Status report, what is everyone's status?"
The other robots return with a chorus of "Reporting Status as OK" as another explosion rocks the house...
At the same time, the rift opens once again, displaying a shadow of many ships. Only three ships exit, however. A transporter, with many racks of troopers, and two battleships, massive banks of coilgun arrays, turrets and a kinetic bombardment ring ready for action. They begin to descend upon the planet, ready to strike out at the targets, the enemy.
