The only form of life is sensed to be the captured piece of the lead vessel. However the portal gives mixed readings. It appears that it scrambles all types of sensors except for its energy readings.

A Small fissure appears in front of the life reading, and out drops the creature, raising itself up on its hind legs.. less than 4 feet tall when standing up..

It moves towards the life signature, scanning.. it is visibly unarmed.

Two scout vessels from different forces approach a mysterious portal. One harasses the rag-tag fleet of TIE and allied ships, while the other leaves. A new anomaly arrives in the way of a small object that approaches the small fleet. At the same time a large fleet amasses. Before any shots are fired, a barrage of rocks and metal shred the TIE fleet. The surrounding fleet was left undamaged as a result of shielding and point defense weaponry. The small object causes a pilot to freak out, inadvertently saving him. The command vessel of the fleet is shortly captured. Inside most of the crew is found dead as a result of metal and rocks penetrating the hull. All except one... the captain is found in his quarters. He is curled up in his closet in an attempt to hide.

Following the sudden appearance of a portal in their territory, followed by the unexpected arrival of a small TIE fleet. The Cog Republik decided to join their investigation, as well as the pointing of their artillery at the small fleet. While both sides order the other to leave, a compromise is almost made when a large, circular, and purple emp wave disables half of the fleet. Artillery fire hits the portal, causing the fleet to scramble. However no damage is inflicted upon the portal, instead a beam of pure energy is deflected back. Now the fleet remains motionless, as half is stunned while the rest remain motionless. The next move is that of the Cog Empire...

As the Crescent/Enigma Empire surrounded the small and unimpressive TIE/Allied fleet. A small cruiser sized projectile resembling a bullet shoots out of the portal and explodes seconds after. This completely annihilates the nearby fleet and heavily damages the surrounding fleet. The remaining fleet fires at the portal to no effect except for the reflection of the damage to themselves. Now their fighters swarm the anomaly in hopes of discovering its purpose.
