The howling wind gets a tad bit louder, but it eventually gives out as they reach the end of the staircase that give away to a small half-hexagonic metal platform with blue-ish glass on the bottom, atop a massive ravine.
The top of the ravine is sealed off by a smoky white glass that makes everything outside seem hazy, though green from the atmosphere is still seen, looking down, the light scatters and gives away to darkness, the bottom simply cannot be seen from the sheer depth of the cut into the earth, the scanners also don't show any signs of the bottom, as their short ranged combined with the black-ish metal's weird magnetic properties seem to make the scanners unfit to be eyes to peer into the darkness below.
Hundreds of small metal railings populate the distance between the two ends of the trench, some small metal sarcophaguses hang from it, some empty, some bear skeletons or dead bodies without a single signal of any decomposition process taking place. Ocassionaly, another glass lookout is seen, even more rarely, a glass bridge crossing the gap, most of which are broken, and appear as far as the eye can peer into the darkness.
Most denotably, a corpse is hung over the railing of the lookout, it appears to bear a sort of dismantled plate armor, with a triangular helmet atop and what appears to be a shotgun within one of its hands, lodged in-between its fingers on the trigger, and dangling over the eternal precipice below, It doesn't show any signs of being alive, but one can never be too cautious in strange, unknown places.
