This is an Exploration event, with a cap on how many characters you can bring, I'd like you guys to not land with the entire contingent of the U.S. Military XD (Land with a max of 5 characters per person.)
There are 3 endings, 1 is good, 1 is bad, and 1 is secret, in this event a lot shall be learned. There is a good risk of character death.
A single ping, a very faint signal strikes over G-S16, it seems to be composed of many frequencies, and one wouldn't be able to decipher it really well, for it didn't really mean anything, though it oscillated for a bit and faded away, it just transmitted some kind of power surge that deactivated something.
Tracing the nature of the signal wouldn't be so difficult, but it renders a rather unexpected result, it seems to emanate from a particularly untouched edge of G-S16, thought to be unihabited, yet all the coordinates pointed towards a single system with one yellow burning star, and 3 worlds that were thought to be barren, uninteresting rocks. Though that was hardly the case.
Upon warping in, any fleet would be met with the following view:
An interesting world, peppered with craters, crevasses, ravines, and mountains, seemingly a barren world, though the green gaseous substance floating above most part of it indicated the exact opposite. The signal now echoed throught space nearby, in a very low frequency, not even being able to leave the system. It seemed to be some type of S.O.S signal, though composed mostly of psychic energy rather than normal communication methods.
The planet called for the help of the Galaxy, though, upon recent scans, it seemed that the ground defenses were still activated, effectively barring large ships from entry, though smaller vessels would still be able to transit down to close to the signal and try to discover its essence.
