"Incoming!" yelled out one of the officers at the Citadel, the flagship of the thirty third fleet. It seems the missile that Ernst fired was shot back at them, but how did the probe turn back? Granted, missiles had maneuvering thrusters, but it was still incoming. How did it get fed the new targeting information? Without hesitation, the Point Defense turrets swivelled around, giving off no sound in space, however if it was the sound of whirring would be heard as the mechanical rotary discs spun the PD around, and in an instant, the incoming probe was hit by multiple hundred rounds, and the slight glow of the PD died down immediately after it stopped firing, and the missile was nothing more than a cloud of space debris.
But, if the missile was redirected... what about other weaponry? If it was redirected, then something must have happened to it, and if they could see what happens when other arms tried to breach the barrier...
"Admiral Eraldson to Fleet Thirty Three. Testfire all weapons against the fog at low power, repeat, testfire all weapons at low power. Specific co-ordinates will be provided, execute immediate." Zophram ordered over the communications. The fleetcom bands carried the invisible waves and particles of tachyons towards the receivers of all the ships of Fleet thirty three, and the data got processed into the fast supercomputers that were the Sovereignty Computational Banks, and the messages got processed by lasers and mirrors to form holographic projections of the admiral while his voice echoed through the speakers of the combat information centers of the ships, and soon enough, they all followed his order. At the back, the 'Lancer' frigates charged up their spinal fusion lances, with the fusion reactors building up highly heated plasma in the firing chambers of the beam weapon, and it didn't take long for them to charge as they were at low power, something easily able to be tanked by the shields, and as it progressed forward, steadily more powerful weapons started charging up. Pulses of energy started sweeping through gravitonium lines to charge up the gravitic cannon arrays, heavy electromagnetic spinals carrying projectiles at a high percentage of lightspeed, plasma weapons containing plasma from the fusion reactors again and other sorts. In seconds, Fleet thirty three fired at the fog, awaiting results with their shields at high levels...
