There is no response to this transmission, it simply bounces back. However, the blasts from the machine guns don't seem to be very effective against shields, so they simply become an annoyance for now.
Maybe it's a good idea to find a way inside to disable them.
The outer door closes softly, with a click. The airlock begins it's sequence, the normal hissing coming from all around. The sign on the top of the airlock changes it's message to AIRLOCK: PRESSURISING.
But then, something goes wrong.
Whether it be a malfunction or damage to the airlock, the hissing comes grinding to a stop, replaced by a heart wrenching crunching and crackling. The airlock panel reads 76% pressurised, not enough to safely open the door with the emergency override. However, you'll be stuck here and have made no progress unless you can get the inner door open, somehow.
The docking procedure is eventless, even more so getting into the airlock. The door of the docking area seems to be functioning just fine, opening with a woosh. It reveals an airlock, which at max can fit five troops inside. A sign above the door declares:
This could mean that the ship is still pressurised, but you'll have to get inside to find out. There is no required passcode in order to unlock the other door, but there is an electro-sign on the side of the airlock room which says:
WARNING: AIR LOCK ACTIVE
Opening the airlock will cause the external door to close. The inner door will not open until pressure is restored in the airlock, which may take up to 10 seconds to do so. Please remain calm as the airlock pressurizes. A hissing sound is normal during this operation.
Do not take off any spacesuits or pressure suits until the inner door has opened.
Everything seems rather straightforward.
You are located at the rear docking point, on level 2. The only docking point on the East side of the ship.
LeftHandofGod (This is slightly embarrassing, but Red already took the only docking point on the East of the ship. You'll have to either manoeuvre to the West or enter through the massive gash in the side of the ship where the other docking point SHOULD be.)
RandomCommander (Not really sure how to respond to this, but ok)
The ships see that the Reckless Ascent is starting to be boarded by the various factions.
The two shuttles have no problem latching onto the side of the ship, but as they begin drilling, one of the gun emplacements on the West, the only one remaining on that side, swivels around to face one of the shuttles. The only thing the gun emplacement knew was that someone was trying to board the ship in a hostile way.
And it was going to destroy that shuttle.
The machine guns open fire, blue laser bolts seeking their target. Their accuracy isn't great, but at this range, they can't miss.
The other shuttle has more success. Latching onto a wall that the guns can't reach, it's gone relatively unnoticed as it cuts a hole into one of the passenger cabins. Keep this up and you'll be inside in no time.
