The barkeeper wrests his eyes from the scene unfolding.
"Ah, ur, yes sur. One pint of Skull Splitter coming up."
The drink he places on the bar is a deep porter, and looks like it has particulates of something floating in it, Heinrich can tell that it is not deadly, but only by a few inches. The barkeeper squints at him.
"Lot 'o out 'o towners around recent, where you fram, Depotcogh?"

The rain beats down on them, and for the Lupidirans, this planet is unbearably hot, a green, stuffy hell. Even the rain feeling like it would blister their skin, the rain drives, thick, and unrepentant, and things bite at them, small, annoying things which buzz and flit amongst the green and the rain, there are distant lights in front of them, up on a plateau, a nice, cool plateau, with civilisation, roofs, and maybe cool water.

The man buries his face in his hands, and slumps, weeping, and muttering, the barkeeper shakes his head.
"Some'n take'm up to a room, Thinks we gat one free."
Two friends support him, and carry him up the stairs, the barkeeper still shaking his head, he turns to Heinrich
"Reckonem ben pushin isself too much, taisn good ta work nights."
Ambassador is surprised, when he tried to induce sleep he had to abort, for something had tried to jump into his mind...
