Everytime I close Cosmoteer I lose my saved settings

I only have Galactic Civil War installed and I have 14.10

This sounds suspiciously like an anti-virus is blocking Cosmoteer from saving the settings file. Do you have a Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\settings.txt file?

You do not need to click apply, clicking okay works too.
