ComradeShiba Cut that thin part, start bisecting the craft from there. Simple.
RedAndCosmoteer it might be harder than you think, because in the meantime if you focus fire on the thin neck your ship is gonna get ripped... You didn't check the firepower of this beast, did you?
But in some cases it might work...
ComradeShiba AI only, or can we control our ship?
AI only. M' sorry mate, but it must be fair.
ComradeShiba I used a ship from a mod, the Battlemaster II, but it wasn't outfitted with modded parts.
It went a little something like this.
The battlemaster first did nothing while your ship decided to attack.

The battlemaster then turned around after moving around for a bit, bringing the full force of it's vanilla weaponry to bear, as it is a diag.

The battlemaster began to shred your ship...

And before long you have this.

So there you go, only 111k in repairs required while your ship is crippled.
While you may think that this is unfair, this ship is totally vanilla, it only came from a mod that adds a helluva lot to bounty hunter.
I used normal Ai for both of them.
There you have it. I'll see if I can create my own ship later.
Thanks again, Northerner.

First off, give me the ship to see the results MYSELF. I dare you. I also want to see the cost of the ship, since it cannot be above 1.3 million.
RedAndCosmoteer Northerner
Wat
I just brought an ugly, cheaper, unfinished carrier...
(sorry about not understanding the rules...)

...it was still close...
Well then i don't count that.

Okay, I beat it with this.

Aftermath

Honestly, if the AI targeting was better, I would most likely (though not guaranteed) have taken less damage. My ship kept targeting weird parts of the ship that really weren't a threat, allowing yours to blow up several modules.
EDIT: The largest improvement that you're gonna want to go for is compartmentalization. More defense, including shields and flak or at least PD would be good, it seems like your design would be heavily vulnerable to missiles.
The firepower is also rather low, for a 1 million + ship, I think. I'd rate it somewhere between a 3 or 4.
EDIT 2: Also, I assumed laser beam spam meant ion beams, not normal lasers. Not that I really have any ion beam based ships.
EDIT 3: Did another battle for fun, took less damage this time.

ComradeShiba lol... mk ...it still "broadsides"... which is really the only rule that applies, it's not really a wall until it breaks apart. I think the biggest problem I saw with your Destroyer is fires... caused a lot of damage over the long run.
ComradeShiba Go download Galaxy in Flames. It adds parts but I assure you, none of the parts in that mod are in the Battlemaster, or if you're too lazy,

Set both to normal AI.
ComradeShiba
As for the classification, Destroyers are created to Harris and well destroy large capital ships and for a vanilla ship if day it lies on the border of a Frigate to a Destoyer, as for an over all rating 3/10 it's very bland

Question : Everyone is using diags?!
Edit: Also, please use the battle helper.
ComradeShiba We here at the forums like diags!
None can use a broadsider?
