Just want to give a little some ideas/feedback about domination mode.
Neutralize mechanic makes controlling points irrelevant
Capture points (CP's) have been neutralized as a game feature, because they can be neutralized so easily. Rather than fighting for control of points, fights have become about neutralizing points. Whole games can be played without either team owning a point for more than a few seconds at time, with the winner being decided rather randomly by whoever manages to grasp a point for a few seconds when the timer runs out. These games might seem balanced but they if either player fails to challenge EVERY point constantly. then their opponent games a big advantage that just snowballs.
I suggest that the neutralize mechanic be removed completely, so that points (after the initial capture)
belong to either one team or the other, and only change hands when there are zero ships from the other team present.
Its too easy to capture enemy starting CP's
Small fast ships are currently the meta. This is not only the case for neutralizing all CP's, but in capturing initial CPs too. I've won games in seconds simply from capturing every CP. Using several fast scouts (under 60k) and flying to each CP, and even capturing two or three CP's with the same scout, its possible to capture every CP before the opponent your opponent has captured one. This is made worse by the fact that your opponent starting CP is sometimes easier to reach than some of those in midfield.
If the arena is made elongated, each team can have one CP much easier to reach for them and much harder to reach for their opponents. This would make capturing one CP with even a slow ships is possible, before the opponent can reach it.
