Rail gun ammo / economy

essentially this would add Rail gun ammo factories which convert standard ammo into rail gun ammo. The factory would be large, maybe 6x6, and extremely heavy. this would essentially require rail gun ammo to be produced in space stations and moved to other ships. this would require docking system, or maybe a system of dropping and picking things up. this should also be paired with and upgrade to the rail gun, making it more powerful or something.

hutonahill Would railguns still be able to work with standard ammo, also, why would 6x6 be too large for a ship? I really don't like this idea, railguns already require power and ammo.

perhaps the rail guns would just work much better with this ammo. size would not be a problem for putting it on a ship, but the weight how ever would make moving impractical, and turning almost impossible.

the idea is that you would have to create a space station to defend that you would need to come back to to resupply.

hutonahill also... why a space station? it doesnt really make sense. is the singular part a space station, or is it just a part that you have to put on a space station? and why dont just put it on the same ship to begin with?

dieaready why is that horrible? whats so bad about space stations. the goal is to make the game more realistic, with more of an economy
