THE XORXIAN EMPIRE
The Xorxian Empire (Short form: Xor) is a very large faction which runs on an Imperial Government. The Emperor is the leader of the entire faction and can control every part of the government and organisations tied to it. The Xorxian Empire is mostly made up of Arz’ians, as they were not originally from the Milky Way Galaxy (referred to as GS-16 later in this post). They were originally from the Alphatal Galaxy, one of the smaller, lesser known galaxies of this universe.
The Xorxian Empire is most notable for having sharp ship designs with angled plates and centralised cores, as well as having an official Council of Masters, beings that have supernatural abilities or increased intelligence. They are also notable for using neural technology to increase the effectiveness of their ship piloting and weapon targeting.
First and foremost, there was originally only one species in the Xorxian Empire. However, as time has moved on, some other species have been found in the reach of the Xor.

Appearance: Greenish grey scally skin, medium sized eyes, with large pupils. A series of hard bumps on the head prevents hard hits from doing damage to the brain.
Intelligence level: 1.06 (As compared to the average human)

Arz’ians are the main inhabitant of the Xorxian Empire, they are remarkably agile and resourceful creatures. Their main advantage is their tough, yet flexible skin, as well as toughened areas of the skin which further protect them. They aren’t as tall as their sister species, the Tac’ians, but they exhibit the same skill with weapons.

Appearance: Despite their classification as mammals, their skin is scaly like a reptiles. The colour can differ from tribe to tribe, but they are commonly brown or grey. However, their skin is not actual scales, it just appears like this. They have two arms, two legs, with ten toes and ten fingers and are often called the alien equivalent of humans. They have a massive head crest that is hollow and allows them to have greater hearing and also protects them from blows from above by falling rocks. They have two eyes, often red or green and large heads. Their noses do not protrude out like a human’s nose does, but they do have noses that are “flat”. They are also rather tall, towering over most humans.

Tac’ians used to be an inhabitant of Cygnusia, but after it’s fall, they migrated to the Xorxian Empire. They are gentle creatures they do not hold grudges or take revenge on other creatures, no matter what they do. However, if they need to fight, they can and will fight to the death. Their incredible intelligence means that they can predict the movements of their opposition, provided their opposition is not that intelligent. They respect other species for the different qualities that make them up, even if that species has tried to kill them. They do not hold grudges easily but will never forget anything.

Appearance: Four limbs, with two arms and two legs. Often have ten fingers and ten toes. Their size can vary from their diet, but a general rule of thumb is that they are around 5 – 7 feet tall.

Humans are rare to find in the Xorxian empire, but they are there, mostly joining for protection from Mafias and gangs. While they are often shunned from society, they are a rare and treasured sight. As the Tac’ians say “They may not be smart, but they are wise”. Their general behaviour is difficult to define, but they can often be found socialising, doing work or resting. They must sleep for 8 hours a day, or else they will experience fatigue for the following day. Often, they are partners with another human for life, however can differ from human to human.
The Xorxian Empire has its roots in a small planetary system. There were three main tribes, spread across the system itself. The tribes themselves were split into sub-tribes, which was a result of tension between certain beliefs of the Arz’ians. None of the main tribes knew of each other, but they interestingly all shared the bloodthirst and warlike capabilities that define the Arz’ians.
The largest tribe, known as the Xan, were the first to calm down and become a little more civilised. They were also the first to achieve interplanetary travel, but soon after, a second tribe, called the Yaizi, caught up as well. Being the war loving people they are, the two tribes remained in tense relationships with each other, until the third tribe, the Ve’ior, also entered the fray. For a while, the three tribes upheld a tense relationship until a staged attack by the Yaizi tribe pushed the Xan over the edge.
There started a 50 year war between the Xan, Ve’ior and the Yaizi. The war costed the three tribes a planet, after the Ve’ior blew it up to intimidate the Yaizi. This action caused the Xan to lead staged terrorist attacks against the Ve’ior. When the Yaizi Military Intelligence caught wind of the transactions between the Xan and the Terrorists, the finger of blame for the continuation of the war went from the Ve’ior to the Xan.
A temporary truce between the Ve’ior and the Yaizi was signed and an also temporary alliance was formed, which the group named the Vorzi. The Vorzi Alliance led strategic attacks upon the Xan, crippling them greatly. The Xan, now forced into a corner, asked the Vorzi for a ceasefire and a peace-making. The plea was rejected, until a battle changed the minds of the Vorzi commanders.
The Xan Navy lead a massive attack against the Vorzi Alliance, almost in desperation. The attack was a failure from the start, but the Vorzi commanders were beginning to realise the Xan had ran out of ideas. Knowing that all three tribes were from the same species, they didn’t ignore the next plea for a ceasefire.
Although the armistice that was later signed severely restricted the military force of the Xan, the three tribes were happy that the war was over. A few years later, after the effects of the war were mostly forgotten, the three tribes founded the Xorxian Alliance, which was to prevent any major wars happening again.
Here, we insert a brief interlude to explain something important in the history of the Xorxian Empire. Throughout their history, certain extraordinary individuals have appeared. In ancient times, they were either outcasted from their sub-tribe or revered as a ‘child of the gods’. Some tribes even made them their chiefs.
In the times of the great war, these extraordinary people became very useful. A lot of them were very intelligent, which became useful for planning strategies, but others showed interesting physical attributes, such as increased stamina, tougher skin, extreme agility and even ‘superhuman’ strength.
Still more of these people showed an interesting attribute; a connection with some force of nature. It was not that they were able to control that force of nature, but that they were able to harness a particular power of nature. A good example of this would be Er’ial, one of the masters that was able to harness the power of fire and save her sub-tribe from the onslaught of another sub-tribe.
Later, these people began to be known as the masters.
The rise of the empire
The Xorxian Alliance remained the single connection between the three tribes for a while, but it seemed apparent that they would soon need to all join up into one Empire. While on their usual exploration trips, a convoy of intersystem ships from the Xan noticed other, far less friendly civilisations inside of their galaxy. To compare the Xorxian Alliance to the other civilisations, the Xorxian tribes punished criminals publicly, often brutally, and it took a lot more than just Police with batons to keep riots under control.
The exploration team was ordered to return back to an outpost in Xan space, but then, disaster struck. A interceptor group from another civilisation opened fire on the Xan exploration ships.
Being that the Xan ships were not built for outright combat, they fell pretty easily, but the Xan Navy responded accordingly. They sent out a group of battleships and destroyers, along with a protective group of fighters. The two space forces clashed, with the Xan group coming out on top. However, this sparked the other group to declare war on the Xan.
The civilisation’s attacks on the Xan ended abruptly when they also discovered the Ve’ior and the Yaizi military forces. However, it did not end the terror of the attack itself.
Much later, the civilisation, known as the Raeli Federation, conducted a major offensive against the Xorxian Alliance. The attack was mostly successful because the three nations could not agree on places to mount their defences, since they were not one single faction.
A daring master pointed it out to the commanders of the Xan this fact. Although they were originally harsh to him, they saw his logic after a while. The three nations of the Xorxian Alliance met together to discuss joining all of them together officially into one faction. Although no consensus was reached, the groundwork was being laid out.
Every good empire needs a strong leader. The masters were an obvious choice for this job, but all of them had a different ability. For the Xorxian empire to work properly, the leader needed to have more than just one ability.
It so happened that every 7 decades, when the time was right, an Arz’ian would be born with the incredible strength, intelligence and mastery over a certain portion of nature that was split across the masters. Most of the time, they hid their abilities or exiled themselves from society so as to not become an outcast or become a subject of fear.
Except for Ralius.
Ralius was a bit of an odd one out. He was one of the supreme masters, but he disguised it very cleverly. His service in the elite units of the Xan military meant that he had an excuse for sharped senses and agility. And his promotion to commander also justified his intelligence. He managed to serve in the military for 20 years without being noticed as a master, but when the talks of combining all of the members of the Xorxian Alliance started, some people started asking questions.
And when he turned up at a meeting for masters wishing to fight it out to become the leader of the potential empire, even more questions were asked.
However, the questions all ended when Ralius came out on top. The way the emperor was decided was a one on one fight (similar in style to kickboxing) between two masters. The winner got to proceed to the next round.
When the empire was finally formed, they decided to name it the Xorxian Empire, after the original Xorxian Alliance. Consequently, it was easy for the Arz’ians to get used to the name change and the change of government. Ralius was made the first Emperor after a short debate whether or not he was actually good for the spot as Emperor.
The Second Great War
The other factions of the galaxy, most noticeably the Raeli Federation, were getting a little fed up of the small faction that was the Xorxian Empire. While most of them ignored it at first, it was becoming apparent that they were a ‘problem’.
The Raeli Federation convinced a couple of their allies, the Paroa Republic and the APO Sovereignty, to declare war on the Xorxian Empire. It was not hard to justify the declaration of war, although it sparked outrage amongst a couple of the Raeli’s other allies.
The first battles were nothing much more than testing out the strength of the Xorxian Navy. Most of these first battles ended with a draw, with both factions retreating their forces, until the first turning point of the war.
In this battle, the Raeli Federation sent some of their massive Warcruisers to assist the Battleships of the Paroa and APO Navies. However, the Xorxian Empire managed to hold the line against the attacking forces, with some losses. They were forced to retreat back a little, giving the Raeli Allied forces some more breathing space, at least for a little bit of time.
After a few miniscule battles were fought, with some planetary battles fought as well, the Xorxian Empire deployed a couple of Masters as well as their usual fleets of ships. The Raeli Allied forces did not have any knowledge of the Masters, so the Xorxian Empire had the advantage of surprise. The battle was swiftly ended when the Xorxian Boarding Troopers boarded one of the Raeli Warcruisers, which caused the rest of the Raeli Allied ships to fall back.
After this, the Raeli Allied forces were a lot more careful about the ships they attacked, always making sure there were no Masters nearby before attacking. This strategy worked until a massive offensive by the Xorxian Empire drove them back.
The APO Sovereignty pulled out of the war after this offensive, because it was costing them too much to stay in the war. The Raeli Federation repaid them by cutting off all trade routes into APO territory, spelling the eventual collapse of their system. The Paroa Republic redoubled their efforts against the Xorxian Empire, but with no luck. Without the APO by their side, they were severely weakened.
The Second Great War ended quietly with a truce and a ceasefire between the Xorxian Empire and the Paroa Republic.
Unrest in the Xorxian Empire
Naturally, the Arz’ians are a violent and war loving people, so it is no surprise that there is occasional unrest in the streets. However, surprisingly, there are very little rebellions or revolutions in the Xorxian Empire.
Except for one time.
The way the Navy works is that its technology level is judged by generations. When new, better technology is released, the Navy upgrades all of its ships and moves up a generation. However, during an upgrade from Gen1 to Gen2, it was found that some of the ships were going missing. While it was not such a big problem at first, because it was only a few ships, it raised suspicious in the Supreme Command and the Council of Masters.
Their suspicions were confirmed when a rebellion broke out randomly in one of the larger systems, using some of the stolen Gen1 ships. The Raeli Federation took advantage of this, committing resources towards the rebellion. However, the Xorxian Army stamped the rebellion out very quickly by using some of their planetary based Anti-Invasion Ship Artillery.
However, the Raeli Federation continued to try and bring down the Xorxian Empire from the inside, without little success, until the upgrade between Gen4 and Gen5 took place. It had been relatively quiet during Gen3 and Gen4, so the Xorxian Imperial Supreme Command was expecting a little bit of trouble, but not to the degree it came in.
A whole squadron of Gen4 ships went missing, only to reappear again a few days later. The Gen4 ships attacked a convoy of Xor Navy ships, crippling them. At the same time, a massive delegation of Raeli Federation ships was seen nearing the Xorxian borders. The Council of Masters met to decide what to do about this rebellion of ships and it was swiftly decided that they needed to be dealt with. Seeing as Glaci, the master of ice, was the best option for the mission, the Xorxian Empire deployed him and a protective force of ships to deal with the Rebellion.
At the same time, they readied their defences for a battle against the Raeli Federation Navy. However, with some of their navy in disarray, it became apparent that they would not be able defend against them for long if the rebellion was left unchecked.
Glaci thought fast and stepped outside of his ship into the vacuum of space. He bravely froze some of the Rebellious ships as they flew past to do combat with the Xor Navy ships. Seeing their ships being disabled so easily by Glaci, the Rebel ships stopped their assault and gave up. The Xor ships took the Rebel ships captive for the meanwhile.
The Raeli Federation, at the same time, were mounting heavy offenses on the Xorxian Defences. The Xorxian Navy was just about to retreat when the APO appeared.
It was a surprise to both sides, but the Raeli Federation ships kept up their assault until they were backstabbed by their once allies. Seeing as the Raeli Federation destroyed their trade routes, they had been struggling for ages to keep their faction alive. It was only by the efforts of the Poroa Republic that they had been able to stay afloat for as long as they did, but they still had been struggling. Even now, they were on the very verge of collapse.
Seeing the APO Sovereignty backstabbing the Raeli gave the Xorxian Navy renewed energy. They halted the retreat and pressed their attack forth, activating their new Interdictor Fields to ensure their victory. While it was a long battle, it proved to be a downhill one, ultimately ending in the complete destruction of the Raeli Federation attack force. The losses of the APO Sovereignty, however, were too grave for them to survive a revenge attack by the Raeli Federation three weeks after the eventful battle.
The rebels, meanwhile, had been exiled to the cold wastelands of the Glacialem planet, of which they later took their name from. They were not allowed to leave the planet for many years and were later thrown out of the galaxy itself, where they would stumble upon GS-16…
The last great war of Alphatal
Alphatal was the name of the galaxy the Xorxian Empire was originally based in. This is, of course, why the APO was called what it was called.
For a long time, the Raeli Federation and the Xorxian Empire had been mortal enemies, often dealing attacks to each other when they had a chance. But one day, everything changed.
For an even longer time, the Xorxian Empire had an upper hand over the other factions of the galaxy, driving fear into the Poroa Republic during the second great war. But the rise of a new faction on the very edge of Alphatal would one day, spell the end for their stand in the galaxy.
That faction was known as the Citadel Union, and it was an alliance amongst three smaller factions. It caught the eye of the Raeli Federation because they had previously won a war against the Topia Imperium, despite being a lot smaller. The Raeli Federation offered the Citadel Union their protection if they fought and successfully got rid of the Xorxian Empire.
It took a while and a little bit of economic pressuring, but the Citadel Union agreed to declare war on the Xorxian Empire, based on the fact that the Xorxian Empire had allegedly sabotaged their economy (which was wrong, because it was engineered by the Raeli Intelligence Services to pressure them into starting a war in the first place).
The war lasted a very long time and it is still raging on today. The battles are too numerous to name individually, but one battle in particular spelled the beginning of the end. The Union forces lead a very daring assault against some of the smaller systems of the Xorxian Empire, taking them after a furious battle. As a warning to the Xorxian Empire, the Raeli Federation blew up several of the planets of those systems.
It became apparent that the Xorxian Empire was about to meet its end in Alphatal, but words reached the ears of the Supreme Command that the Glacialem had reached a new galaxy, one which was not built entirely on fear, but some factions were built on Justice. It was a large galaxy, holding many hundreds of factions, some which had come and gone quietly, others which had given themselves a great name and fell violently or fell with honour.
The Emperor released an order that the Xorxian Empire begin relocation to this new galaxy, which was apparently called GS-16. A few days later, before another massive offensive, a small group of Generation Six Xorxian Imperial Navy ships left Alphata to search for the Glacialem and begin a new chapter in the History of the Xorxian Empire.
Written and Spoken Language
The written language of the Arz’ian people is called Arz’tei, literally translating to writing of the Arz’ians. It is similar in style to Japanese Katakana, with sharp edges and corners being the main theme of these symbols. The symbols denote the sounds that are to be produced, like the English Alphabet. It is uncommon for this written language to be used for outside interactions, instead, the English Alphabet (and sometimes the French Alphabet) is used.
The spoken language of the Arz’ians was interestingly also shared with the Tac’ians, even though neither of those species were from the exact same galaxy. While it is referred to as Arz’iileo inside of the Xorxian Empire, it is also noted to be called Arc’ianopel by the Tac’ians. It is mostly characterised by the buzzing sounds when making a z or s sound and a clicking sound when making a c sound. It is typically spoken on most military communications that do not involve other factions or by civilians inside of the Xorxian Empire.
English is also sometimes used by the military to communicate with other factions. It is not common to find a civilian that can speak English, but most can understand basic questions and commands (in English).
The Xorxian Empire currently owns a good portion of Alphatal, although that number is slowly falling. As of May 3209, Xorxian Time, the Xor own under 11% of Alphatal. Previous Recordings indicate this number is falling 1% every second month.
The Xorxian Empire own a small system in the Perseus system, where they are currently establishing a Beachhead so that they can funnel more ships into the galaxy.
The current Emperor, Yaliaq the Second, is by far the least forgiving of the recent Emperors and still upholds the reputation of the Emperors by executing all those that try to betray or harm him. He has reigned as Emperor for 13 years.
Common behaviour around the emperor is to address him as either ‘The Emperor’ or ‘Your lordship’. Calling him by his first name without direct permission is offensive and will result in being removed from the Emperor’s throne room. It is also required that you only enter the room if given permission by the Sentries of the throne room, otherwise, you will be executed.
A new Emperor is chosen when the previous one dies. Three days are taken where the death of the Emperor is mourned, and a stand-in Emperor is randomly chosen from the Council of Masters. However, this stand-in Emperor does not have the full power that the Emperor would normally have.
An event is held where masters compete in many forms to find the best one out of the lot. These events include but are not limited to: Strategic tests, intelligence tests, strength tests, ability tests, endurance tests, speed tests and one on one combat. When the Emperor is chosen, he is given a chance to change his name, hereby changing his identity to suit the role of Emperor and sealing his future.
The Emperor has almost unlimited control over the Empire. The only areas he cannot control are the laws that concern the way the government is implemented and the way the Emperor is chosen.
Originally, the Religion of the Xorxian Empire revolved around a multitude of gods, however, that multitude slowly and surely died down until they were left with one god. That god, they called Aratis, and it was prophesied that Aratis would help them with their greatest threat (though admittedly, the prophesy was probably just a mere wives' tale).
However, as the Reial Federation and the Citadel Union tore the Xorxian Territory to pieces, it seemed clear that Aratis was a false god. In a harrowing moment, they tore Aratis from their culture and burnt everything to do with him. The Glacialem were not informed of this change, so they still worship Aratis to this day.
Currently, the Xorxian Empire has no official religion, but it is well known that some Arz'ians practice the religion of Christianity.
System of Government
The Government of the Xorxian Empire, is of course, an imperial system. The people do not have much say in the Government, except for electing Representatives of their systems to Represent their system in the Senate.
The Government officials are picked by the Emperor, with some recommendations from the Senate. Meetings are carried out either in the Central Government Building, a towering dome with three meeting places of variable sizes, or the secondary Legislation Building located on the exact opposite side of the planet (for obvious reasons)
The Senate itself is composed of Representatives, with a Managing Representative elected by the Senators for each Sector. These MRs are in charge of making sure all Representatives attend the compulsory meetings and ensuring that order is kept in their group. Overarching Regulators have the power to remove any Representatives or MRs from the meeting and are characterised by their blood red armour and their red weaponry.
The entire Senate is lead by the Supreme Overlord (with the assistance of his Aides), who answers only to the Emperor. If he causes any trouble, however, the Regulators can obtain permission to remove him from the meeting and close the meeting to all. The Emperor also has the power to remove anyone from the meeting if he pleases.
The Masters have always been a thing of curiosity. Possessing strange abilities, such as increased strength, intelligence and agility. Additionally, some of them also have a mastery (not control) over a force of nature or even some more have temporal or reality manipulation powers, to a small level compared to some other entities.
All of the Masters are Arz'ians, which has presented a debate to scientists whether or not it is related to genetics. It does seem to be entirely random how you become a Master, though it is to be noted that there is a greater chance of becoming a Master if one or more of your relatives were masters.
Common characteristics of Masters include: Automatic Immunity to most minor diseases, Longer lifetime, better average health, low response to radioactivity and the 'sixth sense' of electric fields. Most masters can feel electricity, as famously tested in the Ra'canzi test.
As of the current year, there are 1 million Masters, though only 102, 819 Masters have military roles and a further 127 of those are Great Masters.
Sub-factions and Groups of the Xorxian Empire
The Xorxian Imperial Army
The Xorxian Imperial Army is one of the two branches of the Xorxian Military. Originally split into two smaller groups, the Xorxian Defensive Artillery and the Xorxian Ground Forces, they were combined into one group for ease of communication and ease of deployment.
The Xorxian Army is tasked with defending the Xorxian Empire from Planetary threats and ground threats, as well as providing defence against landing craft and orbital bombardment craft. They also mount offenses on the ground and planetary invasions if necessary.
The Xorxian Imperial Navy
By far the larger of the two military organisations, the Xorxian Imperial Navy is tasked with defence against attacks from space, offensive operations against other space forces, orbital bombardment, escorting ground troops into battle and defending trade routes.

Lai’prez: Law Enforcement and Police
The Lai’prez (often simply called LPZ for short) take care of Law Enforcement and anti-piracy. They are not directly associated with the military, which means they have slightly different weapons and ship designs.
Their main paint scheme is purple and white, and they tend to have ship designs which aren’t as sharp or angled as the navy ships, which means they are slightly weaker but also faster. The LPZ are authorised to use some lower-tier military-grade weapons, especially the riot branch and the anti-terrorism branch of the LPZ.
The Supreme Command
The Supreme Command is the overarching organisation that controls the movements of all branches of the military, plus the LPZ and the Intelligence services. They do not typically exhibit direct control over the branches, but they allow or void large actions by these organisations. The organisations themselves have representatives inside the Supreme Command, often the highest or the second highest commanders of said organisation.
There are never more than twelve members in the Supreme Command. The Emperor is one of the only non-members allowed to attend the meetings, as well as the Emperor’s personal guard and the Chairman of the Council of Masters.
The Council of Masters
The Council of Masters is the leading organisation for all of the known masters, in military roles or out of military roles. It is composed of some of the more powerful masters and currently sits at 33 members. While the number of members remains flexible, 33 has always been the most common number of members there are. The Council of Masters decide whether their intervention is necessary, based on the information passed to them by the respective organisation.
The Council is organised so that there is one Chairman and two under-chairmen, with everyone else of equal status. While they are not directly controlled by any other organisation, they must do as the Supreme Command or the emperor tells them to. In addition, any order they make can be vetoed by those two groups.
