"We are the Second stripes marines detachment of the Stalker Trapper Confederacy, we were dispatched to eliminate the person in charge of the Musavian Space Initiative on behalf of another party about whom I am not at liberty, or in posession of enough information to discuss. We were not told who the target was, but we were told where to look. We were also told to tell you that it is the Voghus that are backing us, which I assume is not an untruth due to how my superiors worded it."
He squints at the engineer.
"Tell me, what do you know of the subject of "Political assassination."

"I am very aware of the subject, yes. As many attempts at my own life, including yours, has been done. It only makes sense that you'd hire someone to the the job, but what doesn't make sense is announcing who you are and setting a sight at yourself, this is likely a ruse, and attempt at misdirection. Do you have any other info?"

One little pod, more of a bulb and 8 small engines flying around with sensory equipment and a small rift device, and a core was scouting around, trying to gather intel from the lizardlike beings

Such objects are detected by the state-of-the-art MISE sensory arrays, newly installed in the periphery of the system, relay after relay, a message is broadcasted, blasted onto the objects in multiple frequencies, a message which reads, in G-S16 Galactic Standard:

You have officially entered Musavian Space Territory, halt all movement and identify yourself immediatly.

"It makes perfect sense, someone wants to provoke a war, now whether that is because they are from the faction they claim to be, and want a reason to look like a great protector to their race, or that they are from another faction and want to bog down some rivals in a meat grind, remains to be seen. I'm afraid I can't help you there."
He looks at the Engineer with a more serious expression.
"Ah, I was wondering, do you think you could report that you repelled our assault as a total wipe... Me and the boys were planning on doing this mission then FTLing to the inner core, we are tired of working for the Confederacy, I get 5 creds a week, that's commander pay. and frankly we're dog tired."
He looks thoughtful.
"Actually, could you use a few hands here? We wouldn't need much, just food and lodgings, I know it's a lot to ask, especially after the manner in which we arrived, but I assure you that we are not mindless mercs, well... not entirely at any rate."

A tear in space opened as the pods sparked a bit, the pod flying in

The object came out of the other end of the rift, around 2 miles away as it continued to scan, ignoring the transmission since that wasnt its job

killercat625 Soon, a division of about 3 I-2 Ships warp close-by to the objects, they seem to be equipped with Railguns, and Hyperatomic Ballistic Missile launchers, numbering in on 4 to each, the same message is repeated, but with the added log in the end:

You have officially entered Musavian Space Territory, halt all movement and identify yourself immediatly, or you will be shot.

The pod was only 3.2 feet long, and had no visible weapons as it just scanned around with its little engines

The thing turned, its little photo-receptor looking at the ships, as it opened a new rift.
This rift literally opened in the middle of one of the ships halls, as the small sensor hit the ground with a dink. The engines shut off as the little pods 8 engines began unfolding and changing, as legs lifted it up, the photo receptor moving to the front of its large bulb head, as the thing began crawling around

Its little photo receptor looked at them as it crawled back a bit

"Unknown creatures found, logging in databank" it said in a deep metallic voice
The little droid had the Omega logo burned into it, like all Omega droids.

The ship's engineer comes with a weird, black tether tube from the engine section of the ship, and attaches it to the surface of the droid, after roling the droid onto a black mat.

The thing walked back more as he was doing this, before its rift drive activated

"Emergency protocol one, Unhand me foolish fleshys"
The rift tore right between the tube, the tear began sucking oxygen, the tube, and a slight pull on the crew for a few seconds before it stabilized and stopped sucking up things

Says the Engineer, as he generates a weird device from his pocked, which he places on in-between of the disconnected tube pieces and lights up, generating some kind of flare from within it.

The thing began trying to run into the rift

Yells the engineer, as some kind of switch is activated and the droid is drained of all energy through means already previously explained, hitting the metallic ground with a loud thud.

The droids core began to try and overdrive to remake the needed power, as the thing began shaking

Whatever energy the drives generated was relayed somewhere else and then dissipated through a means unknown to the droid, the lights of the ship began to glow more brightly as the surge of energy highetened, but it wasn't near enough to cause a short-circuit or to overheat the electrical cables.

The Reactor went overdrive, as the thing let out a small, only around 7 foot explosion of blue light and energy with such a powerful blast, that the metal that was there was sent flying in melted splats, any flesh in there rapidly melted and disintegrated with the blast. Though, the explosion was really contained

Tson The Head Engineer closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, spins around on the swiveling chair and then faces the commander again:
"Hmmm, here? It depends, what's your curriculum, your formations? We are always in the need of brilliant engineers, scientists, capable repairman and builders keen in the art of high-pressure building, you'd just need to go through a psychology test, some physical and mental health tests, and that'd be all. IF you don't qualify, I'm sure we can reintegrate you into Musavian society, after all, we do have our fair share of aliens who come here to appreciate the climate."

"Well, My own head engineer is a real wizard, he should be able to help you out, apart from that though, we're just soldiers, but we are... were the second senior Marie force in the STC, and we'd be more than happy to fight your battles for you, it's only the STC we are unwilling to serve further in that regard, besides that my men could teach yours about our Pressure suits and weapons, as it seems you don't have anything similar yourself given those kinetic autorifles your security people were pointing at us. The STC is a monster, it thrives on the misery of others, while it arguably does it less than other merc companies, that doesn't make it any less blameless, and quite frankly we are sick of it."
He looks pensive again.
"At least, almost all of us are, there are a few who won't be cooperative... I didn't want to say anything out there, but i'm going to give you some names, there are a few who I think will try to resist still, but they won't do so until they get an order from me that won't be coming, or when they find out i've had this conversation with you. The rest of my men however are just as tired of the STC as I am, and are loyal to me, we've been through a lot recently and I've tried to be an approachable officer."
