The True Viking Challenge

The True Viking Challenge is grueling and is, perhaps, not even possible. It will test you it will stress you and above all it will absolutely destroy you.

Here are the rules of the challenge :

  1. You must have the most current version of Galaxy in Flames : Lite

  2. You can have no mods on other than Galaxy in Flames : Lite this includes the built-in mods

  3. You must beat Galaxy in Flames : Lite on the highest difficulty which is Super Impossible

  4. You must do this Iron Man meaning if you die it's over. (There is no real way for me to make sure you are doing this so it's going by the honor rule.)

  5. You are allowed so save progress an reload so you don't have to do it in one sitting, but if you die you can't reload. (There is no real way for me to make sure you are doing this so it's going by the honor rule.)

  6. To complete Galaxy in Flames you must beat the ship called "The Alexander" only then will the run be complete.

You can submit your winning run in the form of a game save, after which I will review it and if you completed it I will give you the title of True Viking and add your name to the True Viking list.

This would probably kill me... If I only could save for a moment and continue later . I don't mean to reload saves when I die, it's just because I don't have the time to spent this long at once behind my laptop...

Of course, this way people could cheat, because you cannot check if they reload their saves and just don't send you the dying footage.

      That would be an issue for me also. By the way, how would I take a video of my computer screen doing this?

                            i cant do it in one go not enough free time sadly because my vacation is ending soon might be able to do it some time though i doubt ill be the first person to attempt it

                                            A couple more comments.
                                            1. What happens if it crashes while doing this?
                                            2. How are you going to know if someone cut out saving the game; easy to do if you know how.

                                              CrazyBirdie if it crashes that would suck... But there shouldn't be any crashes if there, and its related to my mod, let me know so I can fix it.

                                              There are a lot of ways to tell if the video has been cut or edited one being the credits and ftl fuel amounts, frame skips, and the AI behaviors (in case they think they are clever and change difficulties)

                                              But to answer your question there is no perfect solution to stop cheating but I am trying to make it as hard as possible to cheat.

                                              As a side note anyone good enough to beat this isn't going to risk the run by attempting to cheat the amount of effort required to cheat this isn't worth the reward IMO which is why it's only a $20 bounty and not a $50 one like I wanted to do.
