...upon arrival most of the ships didn´t find anything at all, apart of a few of the groups which ran into civilian ships, it were traffic and trade lanes after all...
The only one that got really any result at all was a lone group which found a police squad at the area of one of the former attacks...
The ships had their shields and weapons activated and upon arrival of the new unknown ships the first thing they did was assuming a defense formation with their weapons directed at the newcomers...

Exactly 2 minutes and 36 seconds later, the ftl drives of the civilian ship started spinning up, another 10 seconds later all ships had turned into various direction and enter ftl-travel, interestingly the pirate ships seemed to have no ftl-spinup, though to the seekers dismay, they left behind a jamming wave the moment they entered ftl, throwing their ftl wakes into discord and making tracking the pirate-ships themselves near-impossible...

...noticing that the trading convoy seemed to be in fact either a trap or a carcass only a few more volleys of turbolasers were fired, the ships started turning and left behind a group of torpedos which were aimed at the now exposed reactors of the ships, a few moments later the ships entered hyperspace, the interdiction field turning off only seconds before they jumped.
Upon their departure the torpedos activated and sped towards the exposed reactors of the trade-ships...
After their departure, the contects of the transmission were read out on an external device without any outside connections...
