So I've been having fun with the new nukes in release candidate 0.14.5_rc2, and I know it's a little early but I'm really eager to see what designs the community has come up with that utilize nukes. To start things off here are two pure nuke designs I made. While they are highly satisfying to use and pack a hell of a punch, nukes on their own don't seem that competitive currently. I'm hoping that in the future nuke factories become slightly less explosive and that nukes themselves either get a speed or fire rate buff. Mass Disintegrator Hyper Iradiator Pocket Nuker

mleise seems nuke designs perform much better at lower price tiers. Will update the post later with a mini nuker of my own. Also thank you for sharing, post was almost dead on arrival 🙁
Nuke effectiveness seems to depend mostly on whether the target has less than 2 shield layers.
Nuke's are best for the lols, and they might just work with a bomber.
Saesee_Tiin hit and run tactics definitely seems to be the way to go. Also slick design!
Do they work when fired backwards? One could turn some shields or armor to the enemy on approach, then do a 180° turn and fire the nuke(s).

mleise I haven't tested it yet but I don't see why not. Would likely work pretty well, except while you make a 180 degree turn the enemy might get out of range. I was thinking a diagonal broadsider would work really well with nukes.
mleise They tend to fire prematurely if you do that. Also, thanks m8, I went overboard on this little guy just for the lols
