Oneye Maybe boost thrusters should get a buff? I mean right now there is almost no use for them as huge thrusters are dominant in every way currently.
I disagree. Boost thrusters are really good at their job - providing a short-lived boost of thrust when you need it. They're inferior to other thrusters when perma-boosted, but that's intentional and probably a good thing.
IMO people don't use them much currently because both of the "meta" ship types rely on sustained, continuous thrust. Fast walls want to be constantly dodging, and rail spinners want to be constantly spinning/rocking in battle (plus they don't need a lot of thrust anyway). Since neither ship type needs burst thrust, there's no real use for boost thrusters.
On a side note, has anyone ever tried building a boost thruster fast wall without perma-boosting? Theoretically you should be able to get double the thrust of a normal fast wall (in all directions) for a brief period of time, though you'd be slower normally.
