Minutes after the cube detonates...
It didn't seem like much. It could've been a failed artillery shot...
Without warning, a massive Nova Republic battlefleet exits a ring in subspace behind the line, forming countless "ripples" in space when the tunnel closes. With all shields up, the enormous Antares dreadnought fires a pulse shot from a ventral weapon of some sort, decimating a small AD ship that couldn't evade the shot. The numerous Polaris-IV battleships enter a more spread position, deploying strike craft before raising their flak turrets.
...and the fleet begins to fire, a volley of missiles bombarding the foe and bright white particle rounds penetrating the rear of unexpecting ships on the enemy line, taking down many of them...
The GSR ally beacon had worked, and the Nova Republic has arrived.
Oddly, the ships don't seem to be firing at Tau Combine vessels, as if they were purposefully avoiding them...

Interceptors, gunships, bombers, and other forms of strike craft spread out, splitting into squadrons guided by larger escorts.
