Progress report on NVM 'Ice' 0.3x update
Cannons:
Updated to new damage type.
HE shells now use simpler ways of hitting to reduce lag, aka no penetration.
Railguns
Effects seem to be broken, ill attempt to fix them.
Missiles:
Still use old damage types for now.
Bombers:
Now make use of retargetting to allow for less incidents of "random loss of homing".
However, for some reason in certain specific scenarios they seem to not spawn a new bomber after "dropping" a bomb, therefore they dissapear.
This seems to only happen when colliding with a ship.
Heavy bombers (the singularly launched ones) now have 10,000 health instead of 4000, and also drop two bombs, making them better against heavily defended ships but gain less from being in a swarm.
New additions:
Anti-bomber fighters
Small fighters that are roof launched, and will chase and shoot down bombers and other missiles/projectiles.
They are not all that accurate, but can fly just as far as bombers or cruise missiles, making them VERY good at preventing large cruise missile strikes.
These fire three projectiles in a spread infront of them, and they deal a LOT of damage (up to 5000) to projectiles.
However they can easily miss due to poor aiming, or luck.
Using the new "Retarget" "TargetSearch" compodents, these fighters now will search for new targets once their main one is dead, this enables them to work against bombers due to how they work, hence me removing them from the mod in the prior version.
(Thanks x999 walt, the new homing on projectiles is brilliant and made this actually possible)
New interiors, a new shield, and armored corridors
Interiors for ALL weapons have been changed, and a new temporary one given to the radar.
The new interiors consist of a holographic version of the weapon, showing where its aiming and any recoil its going through. Crew also now do not rotate with the gun, but still come as standard with the weapon.
A new 4x4 shield has been added, that will protect the ship in a bubble around it.
New Corridors have been added, that have higher penetration resistance and armor, but also cost much more.
I've also made some overhanging decorative beams as seen in the above image that crew walk under for no added cost.
"Built in" ships
The mod will now include a folder with various ships to use as an example, notably the Ildiran VII as seen from the inside in the screenshot prior.
Some will not be updated to work well with 0.14.5, but some will.
Possible fix for Spritesize error
By removing the biggest part and placing it in a seperate one, the huge unreleased thruster, i might have solved this issue.
No promises though.
Im not sure when any of this will release, mainly due to balancing that i need to figure out.
That, and its not coming out until full 0.14.5 release, due to possible change-
