Those lateral shields at the front are leaving gaps that missiles can strike through, and the spacing with thrusters in between means the shield lapping is spaced out and much weaker. Maybe armour up the sides more in those weak spots to soak damage.

All my ships are on the google drive. Tend to focus on Capital ship sorts designed to smash the biggest and best, though when everyone posts swarm ships to beat things, i've started developing more well rounded ships (like the Carnage).

Did someone take your cube ship and match it against their own? It almost looks like that is a different ship blowing up that juicy reactor core center.

I had my own small scale version of this last night.  Have a ship that was spanking the first 2 levels.  Made some money bought a back up ship thinking my first one was a monster.  It got annihilated on the next tier of bad guys.
