Missing systems (Event)

star maps have been updated time and time again lately exploitation ships have gone missing and even entire systems are disappearing it's happening slowly but it seems the galaxy is losing stars maybe someone should investigate this anomily

Slugs start scouting near the disappearances, seemingly searching for the cause of the disappearances. Most are small but occasionally larger ones turn up, and runs scans.

When scanning they detect a large field of objects similer to spores grouping up were the star used to be as well as planets daviod of any life signs

dafeeeeeeeeeesh One slug approaches the spores, turning a cold blue. It is curious, but cautious.

When the slug approaches it hits it's shield covering the shield in seconds in what seems to be plant life

dafeeeeeeeeeesh The slug quickly stops, and views the plants. Maybe they could give it a clue? It doesnt seem to be able to get past the shield at this time.

It grows more and more draining it's shield faster

dafeeeeeeeeeesh The slug cuts off a piece of plant, and seems to absorb it into its body.

The plant quickly starts to grow on the slug

dafeeeeeeeeeesh Now assuming it is hostile, the slug quickly turns red and starts to heat up, reaching hundreds of degrees in seconds. Other slugs appear nearby, larger ones, and approach the shield.

when the slug heats up it makes it grow faster while being un effected by the heat the shield covered in the plant starts to shoot out spores in every direction

dafeeeeeeeeeesh Realising that this is what must have happened to the ships, the slug runs one final scan on the plant, then implodes, dissolving into dust. The larger slugs start to sent globules of chilled slime at it, fast enough to do some serious damage.

when the slug runs its scan it figures out it feeds off energy the implosion crushed the plants inside and the slime does damage but its fairly resistant to the attacks of the slime it does damage just not as much as expected while a spore its one of the other slugs

dafeeeeeeeeeesh The slug hit by the spore turns grey, and a strong outer coating forms on its skin. It stops emitting any energy. The other slugs turn, and start to leave the area. They would be back, with more effective methods to deal with it.
