Slime in Space [Entity? Event?]

After some time the portal has fully open up. But it stays dormant with only some occasional green fog that comes through only to disappear after a while

TheSwedishToamto The slug observes the portal for a moment, seemingly confused, and then enters. It turns slightly red as it does so.

Korath, confused by such a occurance, sent one science ship to investigate the ... slimes ?
As the ship warped in, it initiated scan procedure.

TheRainmaker Once the scans begin, the slime starts to pulse, like an enormous beating heart. The vessel's scans show that it is riddled with tunnels, swarming with slugs.

after the slime has entered the portal it closes and the slime is now in a even stranger looking dimension with only a few planets around and the green fog everywhere, but there is also a single ship flying around on the green fog a fair bit away from the slime

Cruiser launched a pod, while also keeping distance to them
Pod flies to nearest slime-ball (lol) to make contact with the creatures.

TheSwedishToamto The slime slowly approaches the ship, growing as it moves.

TheRainmaker The slugs clear an area, and it turns a metallic grey, they seem to wish for the pod to land there.

(i need a better name than slime ball, hmm)

the ships seems to have noticed the slime sense its now standing still pointing in the direction of the slime, and then a gastly voice tries to speak with the slime "))Now who are you? entering my dimension by your own will(("

Pod slowly, untrustly, approaches the site, with its return engines ready.
While small recon vehicle is landing, cruiser tries to circle the area of slime, looking for something more.
(Hmmm ... Slime sphere ? sounds a bit better but i think thats not it.)

TheRainmaker Once the pod lands, a pink slime approaches it, a strange symbol appearing above its head. The symbol is flashing and shifting at an impossible rate.

TheSwedishToamto The slime seems to emit a feeling of confusion, and then indicates its lack of mouth. It appears this species is not capable of conventional speech. It stops approaching the ship, and a question mark appears above its head.
(i know question marks are not universal but... whatever.)

Two Korath exit the pod and walk in the direction of slime... with their repeaters rifles.
One of them stays, after two steps and his friend slowly raises its hand and waves

8nathan some of the green fog close to the slime starts to from a human like body infront of the slime and then the voice speaks again "))I guess that question mark is your way of speaking, well thats going to make this a bit harder((" the voice stops speaking and the now human looking fog walks up to the slime and tries to put a finger on it

Alpha indeed, ive been planning this for a while and just finished the lore and stuff. The crypt was a way to practice writing them, without really needing a backstory prepared.

TheRainmaker A hand of slime tentatively raises from one of the slugs, which then moves forward a little. It waves back.

TheSwedishToamto The slime's body shifts around the finger, so that it never comes closer than a few centimetres to its skin. A bio-hazard symbol appears above its head, and its eyes grow wide.

Korath put their weapons down and one of them throws four weird cubes
The cubes flew over and after a second they pressurized space between them
Right after that one Korath spoke :

"Who are you and what do you want to ask us ?"

8nathan *the fog human takes back its hand to its body and changes form into something that resembles the slime and the the voice speaks again "))How interesting((" and then a human teleports close to the slime and the voice says "))Now i would like to know what you are gonna do with this man(("

TheSwedishToamto When the human teleports, the slime shrinks back a little, its skin turning slightly red, before fading back. The slime observes the human for a second or so, and then its feet are attached to the floor by bonds of slime from the ground. The human is moved a few meters back toward its ship, and then released, seemingly none the worse for it. After maybe 10 seconds, the areas touched by the slime turn an orange colour, and start to swell up.
