FangTheCat The Symbiote self-destructs, but the Creature absorbs the blast; although strong enough to tear it slightly, the Symbiote's destruction was far less than lethal. Doctor Roger lets out a sigh of relief.
Doctor Roger: "Well, I've had enough for one day, personally. Repairs should be well-done by now, If I'm not mistaken..."
Captain Malcom: "Unfortunately not, Doctor. We've ran into several problems onboard their vessels."
Doctor Roger: "Vessels...? As In, you've been repairing each of them?"
Captain Malcom: "No, we've found something... Interesting, to say the least."
After making their way back to the Remna ship, a crew is trying to find something near the Vessel; upon being hit with an engineer's shovel, a Cloaked probe is broken. Upon sifting through the data, a more unfamiliar language is present, creating a message:
"Hlj ;fdh zfd vzx k zgk b
Z.szhx .dzf k b xl ajk ,.h z c ck.kbd g.h
K , ls hljfd fdzck b gnkx Dl glf Flbdf .zf,d
Gd.. d nls vzf zfd hlj sk..knb gl bl zbzk xg d(?)"
Although he recognises the language, Doctor Roger does not know how to read it...
Doctor Roger: "It's... Arsceant. The Dark Language, used by the Unbenevolent... Why would they take interest in our allies?"
Captain Malcom: "Let me see this, doctor."
Doctor Roger would sigh before handing him the broken Probe...
Doctor Roger: "Well, do your worst."
After clearing his throat, Captain Malcom begins... Accurately reading the language?
Captain Malcom: "You Prey are fas I ati g...?" ...Translating this language is a pain in the rear... Uh... "Fascinating"! Yeah, that's it.
"You prey are fascinating..."
Alright, next sentence... "Always learning so quickly and diligently..."
Uh... "I know you're reading this, Doctor Roger Clarke..."
And finally... "Tell me, how far are you willing to go against me?"
Doctor Roger: "... Holy Shit... Wait, Malcom, how the hell did you learn Arsceant?!"
Captain Malcom looks stressed after being asked how he learned the language, but he's still willing to tell the truth...
Captain Malcom: "... Seeing how the cell onboard has been wiped out, I guess I can safely tell you this without sparking another battle... Have you heard of Operation Chainhook?"
Doctor Roger: "Operation What?"
Captain Malcom: "The C.E.O. made the operation in order to form B.L.A.D.E... Prototype testing to destroy the Expansionist Monarchy of Varonguard and the Carnivore Pirte Guild? The Stricter unification of nearby allies? Part of the project was learning Arsceant to decode any transmissions from the Unbenevolent."
Doctor Roger: "What else did he make you do?!"
Captain Malcom falls silent. Doctor Roger pulls out his pistol in frustration.
Doctor Roger: "ANSWER ME, CAPTAIN!"
Captain Malcom: "Do you know how many Eroberers really died in the Monarchy's fall?"
Doctor Roger: "Wasn't it 90% of their population?"
Captain Malcom would begin laughing in exaggeration, clearly from mental pain.
Captain Malcom: "I was forced to personally execute over a Thousand innocent civilians that day, just because they wanted to be free. That goddamn monster told us to, and we had no choice but to follow. I resigned from being a Trooper a day later, lest I'm forced to do and Shit like that again... It sounded like such an interesting job; Test experimental Weaponry, save the galaxy. I didn't sign up to personally commit a massacre. After that day, only around 150 Eroberers are still alive, dammit... That one at Omegalight had the right Idea, getting the hell out of here with his son."
The Room would become silent after this remark...
