FangTheCat Although slow, the process begins to work more effectively with time. After a quick coffee break, the Creature is at 80% Brain Activity... Although they are still mostly vegetative due to the Protozoan. Doctor Roger gets time to dwell on the meantime, and it's clear he's finally coming to terms with what's going on... However he decides to stay calm for now, and calmly draws a concept, in an attempt to theorize how the Remna's body works; his current guess is some kind of... Fungimoba…? He knows it sounds stupid, but he's still determined to figure everything out...

The Remna waits patiently....

Meanwhile, The machine would quietly move towards Dr Roger..
"They aren't anything like what the Shadow has seen either.. And if you think Remna are mysterious.. you don't know their ancient relatives, the Ekeri.."

He pauses..
"The Veil are somewhat like the Ekeri, Except they are more.. parasitic.. while the Ekeri were.. closer to Remna in appearence.."

"..."
"They can bond with machines.. to enhance them.. And their.. Forma.. also works for other things.. a friend of mine has an arm made out of the stuff.."

The machine shakes its head..
"Species doesn't matter to it.. If its biological, It appears that Remna can.. mate.. with it.. Long story short we have several recorded Hybrids.. Even a Plant... Yes.. A plant made out of the Remna's biological matter... Forma.. The plant happens to make fruit.. which tastes disgusting but can be used for further research.."

FangTheCat Doctor Roger looks slightly disturbed at the prospect, but still holds himself together.

Doctor Roger: "Ah... A-Alright then... So, What is the Veil...? A Parasitic version of Remna, per se...?"

He'd then look to his left for a split second, thinking, before quickly taking more notes on the Remna…

"We've only gotten a hold of a few Veil Samples.. The differences is that.. the Veil.. Their 'Endoskeleton' that forms is much more jagged.. and permanent, it can't be changed, while the mass around it forms like tendrils.. They can be reformed.. although with less maneuverability... Veil also lack the ability to become transparent.."

The machine begins staring..

"We cannot use Remna against the Veil.. I have seen what happens.. The Veil act like a poison.. First paralyzing the Remna, then Absorbing it.. No amount of Remna Mass is able to win against a small amount of Veil mass.."

"We have yet to find the exact reason.. Genetics or otherwise.. Why the Veil are able to do this.. Remna have been tested against many poisons.. Ones which the smallest amount can kill a thousand Humans.. Yet they are Immune.. Not even our strongest acid can Kill Them.. Destabilize them, yes.. but not kill them.."

"The Veil are also Immune to the poisons.."

FangTheCat Doctor Roger laughs excitedly.

Doctor Roger: "Well, you're in luck, my friend. I think I know why the Veil are so powerful... Their Exoskeleton must be capable of protecting it. If they're related to the Remna, and they move slowly yet with their Exoskeleton... I theorize that It must be incredibly resistant to the Remna's digestive capabilities; after this, they might use their jagged endoskeleton to maim them... Although, It would not be a wise idea to test this hypothesis; The Remna are clearly living and highly intelligent, and to use them in such a terrible way would just be... Horrendous."

He'd then look at the Remna in the other room.

"I will admit, these creatures... No, People, are very fascinating... Yet the veil almost look like a virus, made specifically to kill them... A Shame, but perhaps something planned this. A natural antagonist to the species' progress... A Constructive Antagonist to make them stronger after they defeat the Veil, perhaps. Fate has a way with poetics... As well as sometimes, bloodshed..."

Clarke then scratches his head in embarrassment...

"Sure has been a lot of bloodshed after B.L.A.D.E. Began..."

The Machine Nods..
"Yes.. I Suppose.. Some legends.. well.. some of the deciphered texts of the Ancient Ekeri suggest that that Is the case.. that the Veil were Engineered.. even if that was not their purpose.. I personally believe they evolved for this purpose, even if it was not the original Intent."

Upon the Creature reaching around 90% brain activity, The Remna does as instructed, and removes the Protozoan Infection..

FangTheCat Doctor Roger immediately notices; Getting into his Hazmat suit for one last time just in case, he begins to inspect the Creature... He'd flash a Flashlight in it's eyes in an attempt to wake it; the action causes the creature's pupils to shrink several times smaller than a human's can become.

Doctor Roger: "Alright, can you respond?"

Upon awakening from a Vegetative state, the Reptilian rubs his eyes, and says something unexpected...

???: "Alright Princess... I've succeeded. They have seen the future, and now they must stop it... Though I don't see how you've saved my Consciousness so quickly-"

He'd then open his eyes and yell in horror, collapsing onto a counter behind him...

???: "WHAT THE NYP- HOW THE HELL AM I STILL HERE?!"

Doctor Roger: "Woah woah woah, chill out. This entire operation was highly complicated!"

???: "Operation"? You just used-"

He'd turn around and read the vial... Upon Yelling the full name of the infection, some of the Crew would beckon in horror...

???: "YOU USED THE FIRST SUBSPECIES OF CORRUPTION DISCOVERED TO COMMIT NECROMANCY?! THE ALPHA CONUSS STRAIN?!"

(I'm getting off now ._.)

The Remna would basically slap the creature.... Then form around it, similar to what it did to Dr Roger.. Except this time the Remna's material becomes blueish.. it seems to be releasing chemicals to tire and calm the creature.. once the creature is calm, the Remna releases it..

FangTheCat Although it takes a longer time than most creatures to calm it, the Creature tires nonetheless; he makes some half-hearted attempts to retaliate before collapsing. Doctor Roger sighs and Picks him up.

Doctor Roger: "Holy smokes that worked... Alright, I'm going for another quarantine clean, then we can hopefully begin working as normal... Well, thank you for your assistance."

He'd then continue walking; after a quick decontamination, he'd turn to the rest of the group.

Doctor Roger: "Hey, do you have any spare bunks for this thing? I get a feeling it's going to get up in a bad mood..."

"Yep... down the hall to the right.."
He points further down the hall, to a series of rooms with bunks..

The machine follows him..
"The corruption.. you used corruption.. there were other ways.."

FangTheCat Doctor Roger sighs in disappointment while making his way toward the bunks...

Doctor Roger: "I know... However, it was the only thing I knew that was capable of stabilizing a corpse... The only other ways I've found usually result in mental sublimation; We need this subject alive and operating at peak effectiveness, if we want to get any answers."

Upon reaching a bunk room, Doctor Roger would toss the unconscious creature into a bed. He'd then realize something...

Doctor Roger: "Hold on... The message... It must have been from the Future! That would mean... Wait... My god."

Doctor Roger would sift through his papers for retina pictures...

Doctor Roger: "Their Retinas... Are a direct improvement of the human eye... However, they almost have free control over its form. I've seen their eyes formulate more and less cells, grow more rods to perceive colour, form to gain 3D vision... This is undeniably some kind of Genetic Control, not possible with any species' current technology, according to my knowledge... However, one thing Is certain... They are Human. As for why they sacrificed so much of themselves... I do not know, but if their lethality and knowledge gives me any ideas, I can safely say that I am suddenly terrified of the future."

He'd then sit on another empty bunk and write notes, as well as look at his previous work...

The machine stays relatively silent..
"much like the Remna.. full genetic control.."

"The future is likely to happen.. Trying to prevent it may end up causing it..."

FangTheCat Doctor Roger clearly pays attention to what the machine says, but stays silent, not knowing how to respond... In the meantime, the Creature begins saying some weird, disturbing stuff in its sleep; something about an enemy with a strange name... And his squad getting massacred by them. These enemies mentioned seem to feature nigh-invincible brutes, Lightning fast fighters, and Plasma-Bladed warriors, just to name a few... It's something related to a military campaign on an enemy planet, obviously.

The Machine reacts to the disturbing speech with its metal plating forming long, thin spikes on its back, changing length slowly..

Meanwhile, In the Ship's food storage, the remna is absorbing large amounts of food,.

FangTheCat Whilst Doctor Roger tries to think of a way to make sure the Future apocalypse doesn't happen, the Creature suddenly wakes up, Yelling:

???: "SKIPPER, THE THING'S BEHIND YOU-"

He'd then look around, before punching the ground in frustration...

???: "Damn it..."

Strangely enough, he wouldn't even notice the machine or Doctor Roger; he'd simply move to the food storage from smell and instinct. Upon reaching it, he sees the Remna absorbing the food.

???: "Yeah, just... Make sure the other scientists don't find you..."

He'd then grab a bag of what he initially thought were coffee grounds; despite the ship's crew trying to stop him before he drinks it with water, he ends up drinking some misplaced soil samples. He suddenly snaps back to reality after running to a nearby sink and spitting it out.

???: "Holy Sugar Honey, that tasted bad!... Wait..."

He'd look behind him at the Cattus-Sicut Crew nearby. He'd rub his eyes and change his pupils slightly just to make sure he wasn't seeing anything.

???: "What...? I thought... Oh, it hasn't happened yet..."

As he would walk away to look for something to do, he'd say something ominous:

???: "No matter what that Demon thinks he can do, I'm not going to let him get his hands on any of you... I promise."

When the Group finally catches up with him, he's asking a Crew member on where to find a punching dummy, saying "He needs some stress Relief."

A machine, Different from the first, leads the creature to an empty room.. This machine has soft padding, as if it were made out of a gel similar to the Remna.... It is sand-colored, the lense for its visual sensors made out of a light plastic.. a Sparring Machine..

"Still or Dynamic?"

The Machine would move into a sparring position, as if it were boxing..

???: "I'd like dynamic, but I have a quick question... This thing can regenerate, correct?"

Doctor Roger would sigh annoyed after hearing this.

Doctor Roger: "Guess I ought to take more notes, huh?..."

"The machine can indeed regenerate.. .. a Type-IV Training Drone."

The Type IV Would First return to a normal pose..
"Dynamic: ...Calibrated."
The Machine would Jump back entering a more agile stance..

After a long time, the majority of wounded are treated, only a few died because their wounds were deadly and there was no way to save them. The prince was treated quickly and primarily in the med bay. His wound was not serious, because no vital organs had been affected, but a scar remained.

Zarya: The doctors can leave when they want. Also, for your excellent help, is there anything we can do to pay off our debt?

FangTheCat The Creature's Smirk would become a smile...

???: "Well then... For once I don't need to hold back."

The Ensuing clash between the Machine and the Creature is intense, but without any intense "Dirty" fighting; in other words, biting or slashing. From studying the Creature's martial prowess, Some non-human arts can be recognised... Including some moves similar to Tribal Arts, as well as other ones that are completely unique, including one focusing on "ease and Acceptance of Form"; Although strange-looking when done by a humanoid, Doctor Roger eventually recognises what species would use the style...

Doctor Roger: "Wait... He's using his arms like clubs... Like thickened wings! We've never seen Spectra fight in melee combat; that must be one of their Martial Styles!"

The Battle extends for a while. After finishing the round of training, Doctor Rogers has recorded around 500 Individual Martial arts from his records, including some that haven't even been discovered until now. After the test, he compliments on the results:

???: "The styles are not limited to memory; they exist in the code. That one from earlier is called Olor Aureliae; Latin for Swan Pupae. It's name is a reference to the saying "Ugly Duckling"... It was developed around 100 Years from my Present time by the last Surviving Spectra Brood. I wonder if their lives shorten even as I dwell within this time. I made the right choice to leave the command of that power-hungry, pompous bastard."

Doctor Roger: "...Terribili?"

???: "The Old creature is more a Slave than I am in my present... It's a wonder how human greed can ascend somebody into the embodiment of hopelessness and death."

Doctor Roger: "The C.E.O...?"

???: "Now you're thinking properly."

The Creature would then walk out of the training room, Impressed by the Training Drone's reaction times... Upon glancing the combat records, Doctor Roger realizes just how powerful every one of his Blows were.

Doctor Roger: "2000 Pounds of force, every blow... That's around 2.5 Times as powerful as a boxer's blows. Probably another result of genetic engineering..."
