Types of Songs for Cosmoteer

(This is a real quick post.)
While music is planned, nobody knows what kind. Should it be more majestic sounding, or something like a Synthwave song? I think Synth, but what's your opinion?

BattleCruiserCommander synth wave would fit fairly well, I think jazz or classical music would be good too. Whatever genre is chosen I think the music should be subtle most of the time and only get intense during big battles.

BattleCruiserCommander It should be majestic, something orchestrated. (For the title screen, of course. Perhaps in game something different.)
Imagine something like Titanfall did.

I'd love it if you all could post some specific examples of music that you think would be a good fit for Cosmoteer, so that I can refer to those examples once I start working with a composer.

Also keep in mind that Cosmoteer needs different moods as well, including combat, building, exploring, menu, space station, etc... Possibly different types for different factions / alien races. I welcome examples for all of those!

I have an Idea Inspired By Gibby's

There is a specific music for Each weapon type, that is Played in different scenarios depending on What weapon There is the Most of.
AKA: Scenario Happens: Music Plays depending on most prevalent Weapon, possibly allowing Modders to add music to their weapons.

Unlike Gibbs', that Says specific amounts of weapons, that excludes smaller Craft from the Mix.

Examples:

Small Cannon: Driving Rock, Stuff Kind like the Beginning of The Halo song.
Large Cannon: Passive: Light, Deep Background Drumming, Loud, Booming drums, and Possibly 'Tribal' Style singing in the Background
Small Laser: Slow Rock/Synthwave mashups, Upbeat Synthwave music.
Electrobolt: Mystical, Standard Rock, (???) or more Fast Paced Mystical Type music. (Idk Many Types that Fit it)
Missiles: Heavy Metal, Marches
Heavy Laser: Alternative rock, or Sci-fi

Others: Celtic Music, Orchestral (Most Likely Title), Circus, Fanfares ETC.

Now Time for specific Music... Ill see if I can find some.

Small Laser- I don't know any sytnthwave.

Small Cannon-

Large Cannon- This Or If you can find Some of the Aformentioned stuff:

Missiles-

Heavy Laser- None known

Electrobolter- None known

Walt I think any of these genres would suite Cosmoteer fairly well. Sorry if it's to many examples.
Spacey Jazz- for moments of downtime or when you're mining/trading in the future. (Some jazz would be good for battles to.)

High Octane Electronic- for battles

Classical/Orchestral- for downtime and battles (or opening screen)

I don't have any direct examples, but here are my thoughts.

Combat: Obviously fast, but the type of music depends on the weapons used. By default, orchestral music will be played, but if there are more energy weapons/shields, an electronic remix of the orchestral music will play.

Idle: Quiet, ambient music. Mainly orchestral with a touch of electronic.

Construction: Industrial (sounds like a workshop or something like that). Should give a sense of productivity if that makes any sense.

Title screen: Not necessarily majestic, but grand.

Other races/aliens: Take the wubs out of dubstep and make slower music out of that.

BattleCruiserCommander Not really my kind of music, but I can see something like that work for Cosmoteer. (Still think orchestrated is better for the title screen, but that's just my taste.)

BattleCruiserCommander But I do think such a song would be better suited as music that plays in the background of the game, basically it plays a playlist of songs in a random order, sort of like how Minecraft does it. Certain events can trigger certain songs to play, like encountering certain ships like a Cerberus or something. The title screen should be an ambient song to draw the players in.

I heavily reccomend that the game takes inspiration from luftrausers Ost.

Via making individual modular tracks that can play at the same time, you could make songs that depend on parts of a ship.

Maybe having 5 or more cannons on an enemy ship causes a deep drumb and bass melody to play, while having 5 or more lasers on a enemy ship causes a synth to play.

This system could end up being very polished and more importanly would be much easier to make compared to a soundtrack with 20 different songs for 100 different things.

As for the menu and build mode, id reccomend that there is a variety of different songs, maybe with an option to choose in the settings. ((like adding a "Youtube friendly" mode for if you add copyrighted songs))

As for overall theme, im unsure.
However i heavily reccomend a modular soundtrack that phases into playing when a ship is in sensor range based on parts it has.
