Markus - "Return it? no if its valuable we should keep the damn thing,"
Fang - "well how about we figure this out later, right now we need to get that thing out of here witch will be hard with the debris field."
Markus - "well if we start up the reactor we can send a message home to send a fleet"
Fang - "The shut it off to not get detected for a reason, someone is probably looking for them"
Markus - "Well then can say hello to my axe then if their hostile"
Fang - "I hate you"
Fang makes his way to the Reactor as Marks stays in the room looking for anything of importance

The control room seems to have very little of importance unless they can get the consoles working, although it appears as though the ship's flight recorder (the equivalent of a black box) is able to be removed from its casing, as the bolts on the casing housing it have disengaged presumably as part of the ships crash procedure - perhaps more can be learned.

The reactor room seems eerily quiet, all systems are deactivated. There is a system on manual switches on one of the consoles, presumably to initiate reactor startup. The reactor itself seems to be a non-conventional one, the exact type is indeterminable withotu closer inspection. It is undamaged and looks like it was turned off intentionally. A note by the reactor controls states: "If you have found this then hopefully the reactor is still in good working order to get you out of here. P.S. if you are not the ones we hoped would find us then enjoy the fireworks you are about to kickoff when our brethren find you!"

Markus - "We haven't came across one yet"
Fangn - "Well i got a not here that says "If you have found this then hopefully the reactor is still in good working order to get you out of here. Markus - "Well if they want a fight ill give them one, oh and i found a black box, ima crack it open and see if we can get a reading here, if not then ill probably just simpally take it back to the drop ship"
Fang - "wait, the drop ship, that's it, (assuming that the artificial Gravity is on some how) we can turn off the artificial gravity, cut a hole above and below the crate strap it onto the ship and tow it out"
Markus - "well while you figure out that ima listen to the black box then head to the cargo room to see if we can even cut holes in the roof n floor"
Markus begins to grabs the black box and undo it while Fang carefully looks around for any traps

The black box has its seal broken, possibly indicating tampering - but it does at least make it easy to access the data within:

There also seems to be an object wedged within the recorder, a trinket made from the same substance as the container.

There are no traps to be found, though it seems the ship's automatic security systems will reactivate if the reactor is turned on - there is no way to tell how they will behave.

Fang takes a picture of the key hole and sends it to Markus
Markus begins to look around for the object

Markus remembers seeing a strange object in the black box... Worth a try?

Markus grabs the object then begins to make his way to the cargo bay, there he hands Fang the object and inserts the object

A clicking sound is head, before the door of the splits as it moves to the side, revealing the interior. The interior contains a corpse in a suit of power armour who appears to have died willingly with no sign of struggle. He holds a piece of paper and some sort of electronic device.
More interesting is a small plinth with an open topped glass-like box, that contains some kind of ornate blade, the blade being made of some sort of black material and it is clearly a masterwork of a blade. The glass-like box appears to have some sort of brightly coloured warning sticker on it, perhaps indicating the blade is hazardous in some way.
As the rest of the container is empty, this must be what the occupants of the vessel sought to protect

Markus walks back to the drop ship then returns with a airtight box, he uses a robotic grabber to carefully and gently grab the objects and places them inside the box shutting them.
