The 4X and 8X versions are very hard on my old system especially in the Elite and Vanguard systems. If you have a newer ( i5, i7 6XXX or Ryzen CPU and a newer video card ) please let me know how well it runs and if you want more ships.

I've run into a problem with the 3X version of this mod, have yet to test the 2X for the same problem. When FTL jumping to a new planet, jumps never complete when this mod is active. If I disable this mod, I can finish jumps again. This only happens in Bounty Hunter mode.

Edit: Can confirm, the 2X version of the mod does NOT have this issue. Something seems to have trouble working in the 3X version of the mod when FTL jumping.

    I am having the same issue with the 3x version, and I love the idea of facing against three to four people at once, like the fleet idea. So I am greatly disappointed that the 3x is currently almost unusable.

      That issue is happening for the amount of enemys on the nodes. I told you because i have the same issue.

        I am looking into this now, Sorry for the inconvenience.

        I have played deep into the game with the 2X version and it seems to work fine, have you had any troubles with that one?

        EDIT: I have a fix I am working on, and I should be able to make a 12 ship per planet version, but 12 ships seems to be a hard limit.
        EDIT 2: I was wrong about the hard limit, Update coming soon.
        EDIT 3: Everything updated and working.

          You may need to increase the distance at which ships will spawn from the player, or reduce the distance between spawned ships. Otherwise the game may not be able to fit that many ships in such a small area around the player, which I think would cause that hang.

            BTW, Thank you for the GREAT game, and the fact that you made it so scriptable/moddable. I am looking forward to what the modding community will be able to do with your engine.

              I would be glad to make a larger version for you, but I have 1 request first.

              Would you load up the 8X version and jump to a Vanguard system and tell me how many FPS you are getting?

              If you're getting decent FPS, please let me know what CPU and Video card you have I would appreciate it, I am curious how strong of a system you need to run that version. I would really appreciate this information.

              After that (If your system can handle it) let me know how many ships you would like per tier planet and I can code up a new version.

              I am also working on a new mode that will add 1 'Boss Fleet' to each planet where you will have to battle a fleet of multiple ships before you can clear a planet. It's a bit hacky, but I have a functioning WIP I am testing and working on.

                not a complaint, but i did a trial run of x2 a couple days ago and wow the game is easier in terms of money and fuel you get per jump point. after about 4 jumps i had 4 $350k ships running around.

                  I tried x8 but it only lets me do x4 but it ranged from 37 -150 fps fighting the Wrath
                  I have a Asus desktop PC CM6870
                  Intel core i7-3770 cpu @ 3.40 GHz
                  My video card came with the desktop so its not the greatest

                    Are people still having trouble when they FTL into new planet where your ship never arrives? If so please let me know which version you are using and I can make further adjustments to make more room for the ships.

                    One thing to keep in mind is that when FTLing into a new planet the game auto generates part of the file and this can take some time, but it should never take more than 20 seconds, but its definitely not instantly. I don't know if the amount of time it takes is effected by RAM, CPU or Hard Drive speed.

                    I have personally tested all the versions FTLing into into each tier of planet at least 10 times and it has never failed, but I have 32gigs of RAM and an SSD.

                    To be honest I was not programming for resource balance, more for the challenges. I could lower the money rewards, but I worry about lesser skilled players not being able to repair ships between battles.

                    If 1 more person wants the rewards lowered I will release another version lowering rewards.

                    Thank you for the system specs, as per your original request to add a version with even more ships, I don't see much of a point Until I find some people that can run the 8X version while maintaining decent frame rates.

                        with the mod, please tell me what tier planet you were warping into.

                          Lovely mod, exactly what I was looking for. Complements the huge galaxy mod quite well.

                          I do think that rewards need to be lowered proportionately with the extra ships though.
                          As you will fight 2x as many amateur ships, you potentially earn 2x as much scrap & fuel before needing to upgrade to face the next tier of ships / move to new sector. Leaving it as default breaks the progression balance dramatically & actually reduces the challenge.of fighting multiple enemies, due to the vastly increased scrap per sector to spend.

                          Suggested reward adjustments per mod level [assuming vanilla x1 default = 100%]:
                          x2 : 55%
                          x3 : 37%
                          x4 : 27.5%
                          x8 : 14%
                          Formula used: (reward / multiplier) x1.1 [rounding up to nearest 0.5%].
                          Income divided by extra ship mod multiplier, then +10% "increased repair cost" bonus added as chance of fighting multiple ships at once increases.

                            6 months later

                            Make 20X.
