The commander immediately orders for all lights to go off, and the vehicles moving across the landscape become practically invisible to conventional vision, and various bushes and trees lower night vision's usefulness...

On a local radio network, the following message is heard:
"This is an away team of the TXI horizon, unknown forces, whoever you are, we are here on a research mission and are not here to attack your positions, however any aggression from you and we will commence hostilities."

Suddenly, a large black mass jumps out of the bushes, snarling and clawing at the soldier. His screams pierce the night, and the creature grabs him, pinning him to the ground.
It opens up its gaping mouth, revealing an inner jaw, acidic saliva dropping on his face, burning off pieces of his flesh.

”DO IT! DO IT YOU FUCKING BIG Ol’- “
And so it does.

The Marines keep marching down to the base.

Boiled_Cabbage They soon come across a large section of the canyon covered with a Hive-like substance, the same substance detected by @Jenwuf (check this post: the_guy545). The landscape is very dark and foggy, but something very intriguing catches their eyes: large objects that look like eggs. Big eggs. Suddenly, large footsteps are heard. The Marines drop to the ground and hide. A 20-foot tall creature walks by them. It stops momentarily, picking something up. It decides to continue along anyways. What should they do?

With the loud shout from the soldier before he died, the vehicle lights turn back on, as the creature is illuminated by the IFV's turret spotlight.
Its roof mount MG turret opens fire on the creature, whilst the autoloader loads a Napalm round to fire into the bushes in case anything else is In there.

The other infantry quickly run towards the four vehicles and huddle around them for safety.

The anomaly team immediately turn and head at full burn towards the main force to provide CAS.
Quickly engaging heat vision once closer to attempt to spot targets for the ground forces.

The marines open up with flashbangs before flying away with their standard-issue rocket boots. A marine also lobs grenades at the eggs.

Jenwuf The creature runs away into the bushes towards the facility, leaving a trail of acid blood behind. The soldiers attempt to look for it via heat signatures, but they are suddenly surprised and horrified, as they soon discover that it gives off no heat signature what so ever. It is also horrifying in which they will never know when it will strike. Their best bet is the trail of highly acidic blood, already burning its way deep through the soil.

The IFV fires into the bushes anyway, and the Napalm round explodes with a loud bang, setting the area aflame.

Using the fire as reference, low to the ground the two SRG-2's turn on their spotlights, putting faith in the nearby forces not to engage them.
The lights illuminate the landscape, and even the slightest movement in nearby bushes incites a wall of lead as the gunships use their three dual chaingun gun turrets to flatten the areas they shoot at.

The main ground force, turns back on their lights, and moves in a single column slowly towards their destination.
Each vehicle with their turret pointed in a different direction.
One left, one forwards, one right, and one to the rear.
The infantry move forwards within an arms reach of the vehicles so they cannot be dragged into the darkness.

Another radio call is received by the forces:

"This is the away team of the TXI horizon again, we have taken one casualty engaging an unknown creature, it is injured and heading for your position.
Creature was around 20 foot high, seems to have acidic blood, although we ain't going to touch it and check for sure.
Our two Gunships have returned to provide CAS, should they spot anything nearing your position we will notify you ASAP."

Boiled_Cabbage The queen staggers backwards, covering its eyes with its hands, but quickly recovers. In rage, it gives off a loud roar, and suddenly, seemingly coming out of the ground come perhaps a hundred of the black creatures, all snarling and ready to protect their queen. The queen roars again, and this time the creatures follow the Marines, ready to kill them for their treachery. They follow the Marines up the cannon. The marines run down a lower path, and the creatures run opposite to them on a higher path. Some creatures jump down stubbornly, landing with a loud thud, but seem unshaded by the fall.

Jenwuf The team hears the loud roar from the queen. Many of the soldiers get shivers down their spine, but protocol forces them to not break down and run to their mommies. The battalion commander decides they should hurry, and the Orion states that they are approximately 1 mile away from Acudreus Research Station. No signs of the creature so far.

As I said the personality of any destroyed drone plus it's memories will be immediately sent to JETE to save it also these are the same race of robots that were in the caves on Krekov Prime, so if they are critically damaged they will explode liberally showering the area in plasma from their failing generator)

A marine quietly whispers into a radio.

Requesting fire support from Antananarivo Class. Send wing of fighters. We are stuck in a Canyon where we are surrounded by what seem to be creatures that can tear us to shreds. Also, get our landed Warblers off the ground will you?

Tson (Ok, let me just rewind time here...)

In one of the medical rooms, one of the others finds a horribly mutilated body lying on a stretcher. The patients body was missing an arm and a leg, but the most intriguing thing was it’s chest...it was burst open! Before he could walk over, he feels some strange liquid drop on his head. Some heat emanates from it, perhaps it’s acidic. Nothing he can’t handle. He looks up.

Teeth blare at him through an air vent, and suddenly a large black mass jumps down on the robot. The robot get pinned to the ground, but is able to hold it at bay, holding its arms. They continue to grapple with each other, as the creature opens its mouth, revealing a fang-lined inner jaw.

It lashes out at the robot, but due to his superior processing power and reflexes, he is able to doge the attacks, narrowly missing the creatures inner jaw. The robot uses its legs to push the creature off of him, flinging it backwards, but the creatures immediately stands up, and pins him to the wall.

It uses its long segmented tail to lash at his head, but once again, he is able to dodge it. Suddenly, one of the other robots rushes into the room, distracting them both, but the creature uses this to its advantage, as is able to penetrate the robots head with so much force, it goes though his head and into the wall behind him.

Right before the robot died, it sent all it saw to JETE, for him to analyze it, and perhaps kill it.

It then exploded, releasing generous amount of hot plasma throughout the room, covering it and the other robot who entered the room. That robot was unharmed, but the creature was blinded, large portions of its oblong head missing, revealing bright green acid blood, which was dripping on the floor and burning through it.

It staggered around, clawing at the air aimlessly, and snarling, but it soon got its footing. It jumped up back into the air vents, its heavy body making loud thumps as it crawled away to recover.

Now would be a good time to return to JETE and look over what the heck just happened, the other robot thought.

The fleet advances to the Obliderion and comes to a halt in a defensive position,shields up and weapons online. On the Bridge Kieselberg looks down at the planet, calculating different drop points...

The few Tau ground forces finally reach the base, tired and hungry they set up a small FOB outside the gate

Meanwhile, the two SRG's flying overhead finally evac to resupply.
And before long, they return, along with three new ones to provide a blanket of CAS for all on the ground.
Although this time, they are preserving ammunition and only firing at confirmed targets.

Occasionally, one flies over the nearby canyon hive, taking pictures and attempting to assess whether it is possible for them to attack it from the air.

The Captain of the Antananarivo gets their transmission.
“Roger that. Adjusting course to firing position. We have alerted the pilots of your shuttles to go to your location. ETA is 5 minutes. Try to hold out.”

And with that, the Warblers spring to life, honing in on the despertate Marines location. The Antananarivo class flies over the canyon behind the horde. It aims its cannons and rips many of the creatures to shreds, but wave after wave keep chasing the Marines.

A few of the creatures turn around, and run towards the Antananarivo. The guns quickly swivel to fire at them, but they are too slow, as the creatures we their powerful legs to jump up onto the Antananarivo. From there they use their claws to tear through the armor, ready to feast on the crew inside.

Fifteen large dropships come down to the base and land, out of each drive 30 tanks, forming the 95th Panzerbatallion with 150 tanks, divided into 3 divisions with 50 tanks each and 5 squads with 6 tanks per squad each.
On the leading tank, an Ausf. F, sits a large white-haired man in his 30s, or at least he looks like he is in his 30s. He wears a GSR combat uniform together with a hunting belt, a large hunting knife and a high-caliber rifle. Over his back there are slung two swords and he wears a bracelet symbolising a wolf-like animal.
He shouts down from the tank, overcoming the engine noise, at a Brandenburg soldier:
"Whos in charge hier? I'd like to discuss some stuff..."

I am captain Franz Kaiser of the Obliderion and i am running this operation, thank you for the flamnwerfer tanks, also if you could help us we are investigating every building inside the base then destroying in one we found a robot in one of the buildings but we cant access any code or any info inside it, it seems it was in a fight of some kind since its head has a hole in it.
Also fellow komandant can you position your tanks on the wall? there is large ramp on the east side of the base to get on the wall ,we are on high alert after reports from friendly troops to our west reporting some kind of 20 ft high creature heading east toward us.
