...a few days after the pings in the databanks several rather...odd-looking rocks were thrown out of the belt flying above the planets surface, several groups of them, usually consisting of somewhere from 2-10 rocks were sent off into random directions...
...upon closer inspection, it looked as if someone attached large armor plates to them in irregular fashion, they all seemed to be roughly about the same size and there were shipparts attached to them in various places, making them look as if someone took an asteroid and a spaceship and then just mashed them together...
...the asteroids floated off from the planet for a while until they eventrually halted and...
...randomly started shooting at each other with the weapons attached to the surface, it was a rather odd sight to watch, while the weapon systems seemed to mostly related to magnetism or electricity, the installments were all over the place so they were incapable of getting through the shields that had apparently been installed inside, wether that was intentional or not would likely remain mystery...
...after about half an hour all of the asteorids simultaneously ceased fire and several small objects were moving out of openings in the surface and headed back to the planet while the asteroids remained in position...
...then, energy started building up in the asteorids, likely some sort of jump- or ftl-drive and a brief moment later the asteroids...
...well certainly didn´t ended up as planned...
...some of them detonated on-spot while others drives simply failed and the entire asteroid shut down bare of any energy, those that actually made the jump were afterwards scattered across the system...or at least the remaining parts of them...
Then silence returned to the system, as if nothing ever happened...if you ignore the additional debris that had now been placed at some locations in the surrounding space...
