A little bit more than a week after the fieldtests of the asteroid-spaceship...things, various Solaric civilian transmission- and long-range scanning arrays received pings and then orders, re-aligninging themselves to various locations and scanning their surroundings...
Then, another few minutes later, they changed direction another time, and started emitting, a rather odd frequency into various areas within deep space before returning back to their former actions...

About a week after the incident with the long range transmission systems, the same systems picked up several signals similar to that which they sent a total of six responses had been received within a timespan of a few days all coming from different locations with quite the distance between them, even in galactical standards...
...by whatever means, the Iridestin on the planet seemed to have received the message, as only hours later something comparably big seemed to form within the clouds which engulfed the planet...

A few days later a total of six large objects emerged from the cloud of debris, each of them a few hundred metres in diameter...
At their center of each of them was a large perfectly spherical metallic orb, emitting a strong energy signature, attached to it were large chunks of armored rock, which seemed to have ship systems embedded in them...
they headed off into various directions and for their size and bulk they were astoundingly nimble.
Then after reaching a certain distance to their origin planet, energy gathered in the embedded systems and the "things" disappeared from sight, most likely having engaged some sort of ftl travel...

A few days after the disappearance...or rather "departure" of the massive ships/asteroid hybrids, a total of six large celestial objects appeared in the system, each of them roughly about 100 to 200 kilometres in length and...frankly having a shape that would be best compared to some sort of weird potato...
They slowly tumbled towards the planet inhabitated by the Iridestin, apparently propelled by some sort of invisible force...

...a few days after their arrival the large objects neared the planet and eventually disappeared in the cloud of debris which was engulfing the planet at all times, then, things went silent again in the surrounding system...

...about a week after the appearance of the objects, yet again, something seemed to move below the cloud of debris, though considering the patterns of the stream, whatever it was this time was considerably bigger then the already relatively large constructs which left the planet the last time and once more it was several of them...
Yet the Iridestin remained silent, covered by the cloud which encompassed the entire planet...

A specially made OMEGA Research probe was flying to the surface of the planet after flying out of a rift. The pod was made to fly into suns to collect data on conditions for the inner-OMEGA worlds. The probe was re-fitted with more monitoring equipment and a shielding system too, to keep components fine from anything to acid storms, or getting eaten by large organic space mass. The probe would activate a rift to get past the streamline of rocks covering the surface to keep damage minimal.

...when the drone unauthorized passed the cloud what it catched was a few images of a vast metallic and liquid looking surface with occassional rock spires poking out of it, before a brief moment later it was hit by an emp that could rival the magnetic field of a sun, with it´s electronics most likely fried the dropped uselessly to the ground, onto a conveniently placed rock pillar, which came out of the surface below...

...about fifteen minutes later a message was sent to the Solaric Sys-def forces, that someone or something had entered the planets "atmosphere" unauthorized...

A tall humanoid figure which looked like it was made of mercury covered in metalplates and six fingers at each hand literally came out of the solid rock surface of the platform, it walked over to the drone while keeping a certain distance to it, despite having looked through the Solarics databanks the Iridestin didn´t have time to process all data yet, so the design of the drone was unknown to him...
Whoever he was sent a transmission to the Solarics along with some images of the drone...

the drones wiring was messed up bad, as it had been fried. This model wasnt meant to monitor stars, but was a re-fitted model made for studying planetoids and asteroids.

...in response to the acquired information the humanoid stretches out it´s arm, a few moments later all metallic parts of the drone liquified and flowed off the platform, the rest is sent back into space as the humanoid walks off again...

++Thank you for the information, Treat all similar devices with caution, do not attempt to converse with any representatives of the creator species for these machines, we are sending Commander Boze to tighten SYS-DEF around your planet, this species is highly volatile and does not flinch from slaughtering the members of other species for no real reason.++

Days layer another drone was sent out, this one being larger and bulkier, as it was modified to go into stars, withstand EMP pulses, and it had its sensor arrays on it, including a small rift drive. The pod did what the last one also did and it made a rift, appearing in another part of the atmosphere, the OMEGA symbol a solid and bright purple painted with coats of resistant paint, and even a weak hologram over it just to add to the brightness of the symbol.

As the drone floated below the cloud of rocks (it doesn´t actually have any atmosphere), it saw the same as the other drone moments before it´s death, a vast metallic, apparently liquid surface spanning from one horizon to the other, with only a few pillars poking out the surface in some places...
A few moments later another pillar rose from the sea with a humanoid looking similar to the one the first drone met, in fact it might actually be the same...
It observed the drone and then started talking to it, the excessive magnetic streams which seemed to be running through the beings body prevented any accurate scans of it...
"You have entered Iridestin and by extension Solaric territory without permission, state your purpose!"

In the meanwhile another transmission was sent to the Solaric SYS-DEF forces, containing images of the new drone along with a message.
++"It appears yet another of these objects has found it´s way to this area, how should we proceed?"++

Shortly afterward three Solaric SYS-DEF light cruisers enter the system...

...when the survivalpods and Zippers entered the "atmosphere" (as noted before it doesn´t have any it´s just a large storm of rocks) the Iridestin didn´t seem to react at first, the pods kept falling through the deadly cloud of floating rocks...
Then, a few moments before the first ones crashed into the rocks, electricity arced over the surface of one of them, only to concentrate at one point and start hitting the falling survivalpods, to try and disable their em-protection, while the cloud tried to split ahead of the pods with rather erratic movements, ahead of the zippers another path opened, while unknown to them as of yet, at it´s bottom a member of the Iridestin was waiting for them, it´s silvery body covered in plates of an unkown alloy, resembling a sort of knightarmour...
...as the pods fell they passed by what seemed to be a massive horizontal pillar, a several hundred metres in diameter, reaching from one end of their sight to the other, though considering they were in the storm, that wasn´t quite that far...

Inside the Survival pods the members of the crew are in sus-an, the pods float on metallic parachutes, guided by an AI core, the Zippers barrel down the path, bringing their trajectories up short as they reach the Iredistin, and extending landing feet.
