here it goes:
- 2x1 armor that costs 600 credits count as 2 armor;
- 1x1 armor that costs 300 credits count as 1 armor;
- 2x1 armor wedge L and R that cost 300 credits count as 1 armor;
- 1x1 armor wedge that cost 150 credits counts as 1/2 or 0.5 or a half of 1 armor so two 1x1 armor wedge that cost 150 credits count as 1 armor;
- Armor triange that costs 75 credits count as 0.25 armor or 1/4 one quarter of 1 armor so 4 armor triangles that cost 75 credits count as 1 armor;

You do not need an FTL drige;
Upload the name.ship.png to google drive and sent Legionic the link to download it. Or when you join Discord group, find Legionic and send him a private message, find your name.ship.png and drag-drop the .png in the private message window.

AlphaNS Thanks for the response. I really like the concept of tournaments for Cosmoteer, but the current set of rules is far too weird to me. Setting individual limits for modules and no credit limit is a strange choice in my opinion.

It feels more like you're giving a puzzle with pieces to assemble in the right way more than a sandbox. Why would I make anything that doesn't use exactly the limit for everything? It's just a question of assembling those pieces in the best way possible. A simple credit limit would give so much more freedom, then all you need is a couple of rules to prevent cheesy/crazy setups and that's it.

A worthy contest! Legionic could you post the top 3 ships of each week in your OP or another thread? I would really like to see the winners!

Though the part requirements seem overly complicated and the weapons have very different power and crew requirements.

I think the easiest way would be to make it a money limitation. You could make several brackets for people with different time constraints:

Cruiser (Default, ~250k credits)
Battleship (Intermidiate, ~550k credits)
Dreadnought (Champion, 1200k or even 3000k credits)

This way you don´t have to count the parts as you see the total worth of your craft with one look.

World Limiting tonnage would penalise using armor unduly in your proposal as it´s three times as heavy.

edit: I´ll have to check but you can probably drop the restrictions on weapons, shields and generators too because going overboard on one thing will hamper the vessels in other areas.

Also, I had the idea that you could run it as a best of three at least for the last four (4x time if you get bored 😉 )?

Legionic Wow three hour tournament oO. I found the ships thread and there were some pretty nifty crafts but they are kind of all over the place. Did I miss a channel where the winners were posted?

For the weapons rule is it like 4 of each or only for large weapons?

TheOriginalGolem The 4 rule is for Ion beams, large cannons and missiles only. You can have max 4 in total not each of these 3 weapons. Of other weapons you can have as many as you want but keep in mind that 300.000 credits is the price limit for this tournament round so build wisely 🙂
