The title pretty much explains my idea, but I'll go into the details.
In the decal menu, on the hamburger drop-down menu where you can find most important utilities for Decal painting such as clear decals, import ship paint etc, there should be a new option called "Randomize Colours"(or Colors for you Americans".
Simply put, it changes the colours of Decals High, Decals Low and Paint to a random colour, but not the same colour. There are two possible ways that colours could be randomised.
- A bunch of in-built colour schemes that are chosen at random when the Randomise Colours button is selected
- All the different colours are completely randomised
Option 1 would be better when it comes to colours that work together well, but Option 2 is more versatile and could achieve better results.
