the_guy545 Not that I would be interested in designing a one-off death star planet, but if you find someone who is interested, they would need to write a new pixel shader based on the existing one to recreate that hollow that makes the Death Star recognizable and give it a metal look. As far as textures go you may be able to get the game to load a custom texture, but certainly not through the built-in planet editor which only provides procedurally generated perlin noise as texture, which can go a long way as you can see above. You can definitely create some sort of vertical and horizontal stripe pattern for the Death Star's hull with it and use the "pole effect" to recreate the equator.
While the Death Star doesn't need much to be recognizable - in parts due to how it made its way into pop culture - the Starkiller Base would definitely require custom textures.
