LukaszLutek this is cool, could you make corridors that fit with the theme?

    kieffer5101 I'm planning to make next update about utilities so corridors can be expected.
    I was thinking about that for a while but didnt know if they would be necessary. But now I'm defenietlly going to add them.

    just a thought but I saw you had a beam turret planned and instantly thought of the reapers beam from mass effect.
    is it gonna be like that or will it be something else?

      solar-soup-bowl I haven't played mass effect so it probably wont be like that.

      My Idea was for it is to be multi fire mode with switch between Damaging beam similar to ION and high fire rate
      double barreled blaster similar to Large Blaster. It looks will be inspired by Vanu's Aphelion vehicle turret from game PlanetSide 2.

      LukaszLutek I made a very old (and very dead) faction literally called the New Conglomerate which was based off of the one from Planetside 2. Man, I love that game!

        the_guy545 Yes PlanetSide 2 is the best shooter game I've ever seen. It's just perfect. You love and hate it at the same time and always return to play.

          also have you though about making automated parts?

            solar-soup-bowl There might be few automatic parts. Though they will probably be mostly upgrades for normal parts like power storage or dedicated reactor to balance it between crewed upgrades that will be more powerfull but will require crew.

            There wont be a lot of automated parts beacuse as I said before there is Automation ++ mod and I dont want to copy it. (I might consider making it compatible with Automation ++)

                  The descriptions of a lot of things aren't very clear. Your use of the word "power grid" is definitely foreign to me, as I've never seen anyone use power grid to describe something in this game.

                  So, what's the relation between the Thermonuclear Reactor and the Capacitor Chargers? You say that it charges capacitors, and outputs part of its power to the ship's power grid, allowing for use of the Capacitor Chargers? What does this mean?

                  You also say that the Capacitor Chargers will "take energy out of ship's power grid", and that it recharges at 1/4 the rate of the Thermonuclear Reactor. So, what does the Capacitor produce, though? And if both the Capacitor and Thermonuclear Reactor produce just plain old energy, why use all this different terminology which is seemingly extremely inconsistent and confusing? These descriptions are in dire need of a rewrite, as I genuinely don't have a single clue what anything is supposed to do at this point.

                  EDIT: Also, if the Dalton Cannons can "utilize Nanite Containers to print bullets directly inside fire chamber", then why do we need a nanite fabricator? Doesn't the description of the cannons mean that they print their own ammo inside the fire chamber, making the nanite fabricator unnecessary?

                  And what of the fire extinguisher printer? It rapidly produces fire extinguishers, which I assume just means it's a double fire extinguisher which also replenishes the fire extinguishers at a faster rate. However, you also say it can "hold nanites for 7 extinguishers". What does this mean? What do all these descriptions mean? I haven't been this genuinely confused for a long time.

                    Eapple Yes using that words may be confusing for some people.

                    1)Power Grid is just the network of hidden cables on board of ship. You know the high thingies connected with wires giving power to your home? That network of homes, tranfsormators, relays and power plants is called a Power Grid.
                    I assumed that most of people know what that means.

                    2)Thermonuclear Reactor and Capacitor Charger produces plain old energery beacuse they would be ussles producing new energery as there are only two things that will use it. There will be just no point in downloading it at the moment.

                    3)Dalton cannon uses NANITES from Nanites Container to print bullet inside a fire chamber so it dont have to be opened to reload so reload is faster than in standard cannons (I should add that actually), but gun have to take the nanites from other more advanced machinery.

                    4)Fire Extinguisher Printer prints one Fire Extinguisher per second and uses nanites to make it that fast. So as it have storage for 7 nanites containers it will produce 7 extinguishers before it will run out of materials.

                    Howewer noone have been confused before so I assumed that everone will understand (which is a thing I never should assume) and continued forgeting that not everone knows all words. And by the way english is not my first language.

                      LukaszLutek Thank you for clarifying many things, however, I'm still confused on what you mean by the ship's power grid. In Cosmoteer, as far as I know, there is no power grid system. Power is supplied by crew members manually bringing batteries of energy to wherever something needs energy. Power and energy are virtually interchangeable. There is no power grid, just crew members carrying power (or energy as it's more formally called).

                      If by power grid, you mean the system of crew members carrying energy to places, then that makes sense. However, in your explanation, you unfortunately didn't clear up what you meant when you said energy, you just explained the general meaning and definition of a power grid (something I'd already known outside of this context). If you would so kindly, could you reiterate what you mean when you say power grid, in the context of this game, as opposed to the literal meaning in real life.

                          LukaszLutek You're basically saying the power grid is imaginary and not an implemented feature in any way, and that you're just making us imagine that the capacitors are just batteries that take power from the "power grid" to make charged batteries?

                          That clears up a lot of things, mainly because you never really made it obvious that this "power grid" you keep talking about is actually nonexistent, and that it's just something we can imagine that the capacitor uses to charge the capacitor batteries.
