So I translated "Railgun Accelerator" with "Schienengewehrbeschleuniger". And noticed that it looks right in the part description, but is broken into "Schienengewehrbeschleun" and "iger" in the keyboard bindings menu. Supporting soft hyphens would make it easier for translators to hint at optimal word breaks. They are invisible until used to break a word and would have priority over the simple algorithm that chops off letters until the text fits the box.
Also, some texts are extremely short in English. "Hire 5 crew for 5000." is hard to beat in any language and especially Spanish IIRC has some of the longest texts by letter count. I realize this game is primarily English with other languages as external modifications and so it would look odd if some panels had all that empty space to accommodate for these. But it would make translators' lives easier as they would not have to reduce font size or words as often.

- hire crew (EN)
- enrolar tripulación (ES)
- Besatzung anheuern (DE)
