Upon hearing the sound of Ieri's voice, Controlling Destiny groaned on reflex. She decided to humor the annoyance as she entered a Micro-Shift Portal to the labs.
What is it that you want. Her mental demand reached the minds of all present, somehow not full of anger as she looked around.

the assistant gestures wordlessly at the EL drone with a look of startled bemusement, the drone's faceplate now shows the visage of an old slightly balding man, with a garland of some kind of leaves encircling his head, the drone is slowly and calmly surveying it's surroundings, and speaks when it sees Controlling Destiny
"Ποιος είσαι?"
after seeing CD's blank look, it tries again
"Πού βρίσκομαι; Γιατί με έφερες εδώ?"

Controlling Destiny is confused for a second before recognizing the ancient Solaric language and altering her translator for audible language.
"Είμαι αληθινός αφυπνισμένος, ο τίτλος μου είναι ο έλεγχος του πεπρωμένου."
She explained as she attempted to work with the limited speaking ability her beak provides her, as a result, the translation was inaccurate.
"Βρίσκεστε στην OSV Omniscience, στο εσωτερικό του πρωταρχικού εργαστηρίου. Προσπαθήσαμε να μάθουμε πώς τα ρομποτικά σας όργανα λειτουργούν για να καταλάβουν πώς να εξουδετερώσουν την υποβάθμιση του κώδικα σας".
As she finished her monologue, she could be barely heard speaking under her breath.
"Είστε μια ανωμαλία μεταξύ του είδους σας φαίνεται."

(Yeah of course the New Hegemony would have data on human languages, meaning CD could pretty easily speak Greek assuming she had a translator. Which, given her status as an Overlord, she has.)

"Anomaly? My name is Pieron of the Ever Children, you are not of our race, and I have no knowledge of your kind, how did I come to be here? And what do you mean by program degradation?"

The translation seems to have increased in quality now that Destiny realized she could simply send Psionic Impulses to the translator, disallowing for a fumble with words.
"You are... Your species has changed a lot..."
Said attempt to not fumble with words falls flat on it's face as Controlling Destiny tries to engage in meaningful diplomacy, something totally out of her element.
"Your robotic body's code had degraded over the millenia, 300 thousand 'Systems' at the least. Your disabled body was brought here so we could study your systems in an attempt to develop a patch that would allow your systems to operate in their intended purpose."
Controlling Destiny's lower two eyes seem to squint as she studied the Ever Legion Robot (Child?)

(Ever Children is just the name of the original faction, the man (or picture of him) is actually slightly balding)
Pieron looks confused: "But that would mean I have been asleep for milennia, what has become of my people?"

Controlling Destiny seems somewhat saddened as she thinks about how far this ancient species has fallen.
"Your people have become... I mean no offense by this, they have become a scourge on the galaxy. Attacking many factions, we had requested 50 drones to see what was wrong and try to make a patch."
She gestures towards the rest of the lab.
"As you can see, we didn't expect one to awaken like you did."

"but... we are a good people, how could this have happened?"

She makes a gesture that looked somewhat like a shrug.
"That's what we want to figure out, if we can find out why you specifically awakened, we could probably repeat it across the rest of the Ever Legion."

The assistant interjects
"It was because I tampered with a program trigger, I stopped a recurring program loop that kept reverting the Drone's Control to it's mainframe."

Controlling Destiny's mind quickly develops a plan.
"Is it possible to stop the program loop without physically altering the drone? Specifically, is it possible to introduce a virus into the Ever Legion's systems that would disable the program loop in all drones?"

Pieron looks thoughtful
"I believe that is a possibility, however each mainframe would require a different viral strain, as they are routed differently to avoid such cyber attacks"

"How would we go about bypassing their cyberwarfare defenses in the first place? Defending against a 300 thousand 'system' old virus and actively attacking firewalls are two very different things."

"You would have to plant the virus inside my drone chassis, I would then be taken to the proximity of my mainframe and the automated systems would do the rest"

"What prevents the Ever Legion from detecting the virus and wiping your systems?"

"They would never expect a drone to use itself as a weapon, after all we built them."
