(well not for definite, but given a good commander who knew his stuff, why not? All starships by their structural requirements are inherantly weak, a well placed shot could take a cruiser like the one you have shown out of action, so about ten well placed shots may be all is needed to take down a Solaric Heavy Cruiser, that is why the Sols put so much emphasis on tactics and favourable positioning/formation combat, and will simply not engage the enemy if they are in a bad position, this however does not mean that a cruiser like the above could not in an engagement inflict enough damage on a Sol cruiser to take it out of action.)

Commander Brigg flags the message for the next Supreme Commander that arrives at command, but does not think to do anything else, and especially not to check the leave calendar, which if he had would have told him Crimson was not scheduled leave for a fair few months...

...while most of the Supreme Commanders were already out of the territory or busy in other matters anyways, Crimson sat in the middle of the observation deck of the "Invincible" and scratched his chin, staring into the void between the stars, he seemed to be thinking...
After about two and a half hours the ship internal observation cameras suddenly flickered, when they turned back on Crimson still stared into the void, but this time he was smiling...
another few minutes later he stood up and headed to the communications center...

...a few minutes later a transmission reached command from the "Invincible", it was rather short and simple for what it contained...
On the transmission there was Supreme Commander Crimson, wearing a Hawaii-shirt and short trousers, stating he´d be heading off into holiday for a few days...or weeks...and then the transmission simply ended...

"Odd, we'll make sure to keep our eyes on them well, our visors, as we lack eyes. Their recent actions seem quite suspicious, don't they? Farewell Commander, stay safe on your journey."

The comms. operator ends the transmission, continuing to manage transmissions. The emergency response group returns to its underground shipyard now that the issue is clear.

A diplomatic group under the Optix division prepares for a subspace jump to the TATC headquarters.

The Captain looks at his holographic interface, and then replies to the Solaric Commander, saying "We'll land on the space port. I think my crew would like a little time on the ground, and we can discuss a few things, Planetary Commander Dox." He motions the officer to end the transmission, and the holographic display deactivated. "Activate atmospheric thrusters, switch the fusion drives off, and take us in."

In moments, the ship flipped one hundred eighty degrees, and made a retrograde burn, moving into a trajectory that will take them near the spaceport. As Solaric citizens looked up, they saw a bright orange streak that crossed the sky in minutes, accompanied by a loud re-entry noise.

When the atmospheric plasma disappeared, the ship started maneuvering towards the solaric spaceport.

The spaceport is small, with only 4 landing pads and a runway, the ship notices one of the pads is lit.

Tson Thankfully, THIS variant of the 'Discovery' was equipped with landing gear and the small fifty meter long 'Trailblazer' maneuvered to the landing pad, and landed...

"Nice landing, lieutenant." The Captain complimented, and the lieutenant looked at the Captain, and responded "Thank you, sir." And then the Captain made a small motion over a blue glowing ring, and then his holographic interface vanished, and then walked out of the bridge.

A team of Purple-armored Solaric troopers stands to attention at the side of the pad, with A smartly uniformed lieutenant at their head, they wait for their guests to make an entrance

Tson The two guards went to the airlock from the Armory, where the Captain met them. As the ramp from the ship to the pad extended, a loud hissing sound was heard as air rushed out of the ship and into the planet's atmosphere. The guards and the Captain walked onto the landing pad. The Guards had a gray/grey armor with orange stripes, and were armed with lasrifles:

while the Captain looked young, in his thirties and wore a uniform that looked somewhat like the Lieutenant's, however his uniform also had the same orange stripes.

"Greetings."

The Solaric Lieutenant walks to within an arms length of the Captain and clicks his heels smartly, saluting
"On behalf of the Solaric Empire I welcome you, the Planetary Governor awaits you, do you wish to speak to him now, or would you prefer to rest a while and refresh yourselves?"
