I hadn't heard of this game

In Airships: Conquer the Skies you'll need to use all of your creativity and skill to design and build fearsome airships and land vehicles to give you the edge in massive aerial battles.

before it released this week but, I purchased it and it seems like the kind of game other Cosmoteer fans would also enjoy.

Ive seen a fair bit of it on youtube and it looks decent actually - considering how cheap it is

ja7833 I bought it after i read your post, nice game. But, the physic of the game is a little counter-intuitive, like the weapons who fire trough other ships or your own ship parts ... Exept that, good investment.

I mean considerign how cheap it is I dont mind sacrificing soem of the realism of the physics for simplicity of gameplay - and your own ships could be on a different 3d plane allowing them to fire past each other in reality.

I can shoot through my own ship's structure so, what 3D plane ? Anyway, it's a good game, I love the steampunk / napoleonian influence and the "construct and conquer" gameplay.

I like the game but, my biggest challenge with it - I keep comparing the ship building to Cosmoteer (similar in that it is 2d) but, I find it very clunky. Truth be told I don't build good ships in Cosmoteer but, unlike AirShips I don't feel my designs are frustrated because of the tools.
